    Taught my youngest daughter how to cook stuffed Shells(pasta shells, stuffed with beef and cheese), as well as Manicotti(stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, cottage cheeses.). She really enjoyed stuffing everything. It was also a good way to get her to eat something she hasnt had before. The wife loved it, because she didnt lift a finger, and said it was better than any restaurant made she has had. I rarely make these dishes, because it is labor intensive, so we made 6 pans, and froze 4.

    Grilled hamburgers this evening. For my daughter’s birthday a little earlier in the month, I experimented with veggie burgers, since she’s a vegetarian. They were decent, but I had a little trouble with them staying together well on the grill. For the veggie burgers, I made a sauce with plain Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, and dill. Used it tonight on a hamburger, topped with jalapeños and Heinz ketchup (got to be Heinz). The yogurt/Dijon/dill spread is great on any burger!

    The deck box I assembled a few days ago is nice & light. That was handy when I was taking it out of the car and assembling it. But it’s been pointed out to me that the lightweight lid could easily blow open in a high wind. So I added a bunch of adhesive-backed wheel weights and secured them with duct tape.

    Starting to turn over the soil, still haven't managed to grow anything successfully in this damn field but there is something primal about dropping implements into the dirt ..

    Those brake pedals on a 9n were crazy but those 9ns & 8ns were work horses.

    @Hembree

    What are you planting and how big a field ??

    Not a large field. We are probably only planting about a half an acre. Corn, peas, sunflowers and after the 4th of July I'll plant a pumpkin patch for the grandgirl. She had a patch last year and throughly enjoyed watching the pumpkins grow. She will be 5 in October.

    Our small garden does pretty good, we call it the "Sauce Garden" since we plant things to make Italian Red Sauces in it

    I just added the Low Tunnels to it this year so we can get a extra 30 days in there

    Looks great. I see you have problems with deer as well. Do you have a break plow and a disk? It looks like you were using a cultivator to break your ground.

    I have a Middle Buster Plow to break ground, I used that for the first couple of years as I expanded it the last 2 years I have only had to use the Cultivator to turn it over..
    I am actually thinking of adding some wide Sweeps to it this year

    We don't have to move snow nor do we have a lot of drive way to maintain but you have a nice tractor to do it with. It would be nice if you could go down about 6 inches and turn the ground over. It would help a lot. Ground will get better from year to year after it is worked. Keep after it and it will get there. You can add compose type material to the garden spot but no animal bones, meat or fat type stuff. What you have started this year looks great. Wish we were closer . I would bring the tractor over and break it up for you.
