    Happy Birthday!

Head over the to the straight razor part of the forum, there are several 'expert' honers to give you advice. 25 laps of stropping after the stones is too little in my opinion. After the stones I use pasted strops which is optional but will do at least 70 laps on leather after the stones. I once shaved after honing a razor and forgot to strop it....ouch that hurt. I stropped it and then it shaved great.

Great news, you must be relieved. I hope he continues to make a full recovery.

    TGIF!!!

I agree, the Feather Pro is the gold standard.

Every time you post this, I think of Pusherman by Curtis Mayfield. I don’t know why.

    Saturday Shave:

Another brush down for EDBIO. I recently bought this tub of TOBS cream and now I remember why I like British Creams. I will be trying out several new soaps and we will see who makes the cut. This stuff is very easy to load, easy to build a lather and can take allot of water. Today shave result was epic.

    Irritation A+ Closeness A+ Smoothness A+ Sharpness A

    Razor: Art Razor Saga
    Strop: Tony Miller
    Brush: Etsy
    Pre: Proraso
    Soap: TOBS cream
AS: Blood on Steel AS, Stirling ASB
Scent: by Killian A Taste of Heaven

No shave Friday for me . We are kid free this weekend so we went out for supper . I was going to shave but she said I looked great the way i was . We dont get out often and it was a nice break after last month and all the sadness we endured. I have another razor I think is MAYhem worthy and will give it a go later today. The monkeys are still working on my more daring razor designs and should have something jaw dropping soon.I hope not to dissapoint. Take care fellas.

    May 4 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette Red Tip
    Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless
    Brush: Thater 4125/4
    Lather: Stirling Ramblin' Man
    Aftershave: Stirling Ramblin' Man
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

It was a great shave this morning, as I got a couple of new products to try. First this wonderful brush, which I a traded a razor for. A soft knot with some nice backbone. It whipped this soap up nicely, and the lather developed a terrific scent. At first, this scent seemed similar to Stirling For Him, but that quickly changed, as the woodiness and musky notes come through. I have never smelled Creed Himalaya, so I can't comment on how close this is, but I love the scent. The AS and Cologne are similar, but with a but more woodiness, at least to my nose. I am off to Houston this morning for a Bible study meeting. I hope everyone has a great day!
