  7. Thanks.
There are a few others around these parts that have them. Great straights IMO. The forged blank doesn't go outside of Dovo finishing like others do. I have not heard anyone complain about how they shave.
I have this bad habit of getting 2 of the things I like best. Something you can do with razors and children, but not wives.
The #1 is my top shaver. The #2 was a little behind so it makes a reasonable candidate for honing boot camp.

Now if I can only stay out of the Hone Wars. May the 4th be with you.

  8. Nice shave!

If I shaved the 'attic' guard, that would be the first tool I'd try.

  14. Nice shakedown of the el cheapo pain stick and the cheapster blades, Neal. Do you plan to try it with a Feather blade?
    Nice shave, John.

It's good to hear from you, Terry. I hope you are feeling better.
Very nice shave and photo, Rick. Photography school paid off, and I still think you should have been the Valedictorian. ;)
    Pure class, Keith.
I'm glad you and your girlfriend are enjoying some downtime, Patrick. You guys need it. You can shave tomorrow...or the next day. You two take care of yourselves, my friend.
Wonderful set up and shave, Jim. Kudos on your commitment to attend your Saturday morning men's Bible study. I waver in my commitment, so you challenge and encourage me by your example.
Good shave and write up, Paul. It's about time to bring out the Spring scented products. :)
Just beautiful, as usual, Jim. Have a restful weekend.
What a way to begin your day, Joseph! You've made some incredible progress with your straight shaves. Your detailed product reviews are informative, useful, and entertaining.
Beautiful set up and shave, Clint. You've got some top shelf gear, and it always looks good in your photos.
Very nice shave, Rob. Voskhods are a favorite blade of mine. I'm glad you like them. It's good to hear your badger finally came around.

Very nice shave, Bill. I derive Max Enjoyment from your reports and photos.
Great set up and shave, Stephen. Hope all is well.
A no drama shave is always good, Gary. I love seeing your beautiful vintage Gillettes and models in your SOTD photos.
Robert, congrats on your top shelf straight shave. I have enjoyed following your progress with straights. I love Omega brushes, but I'm not a fan of the dyed knots either. Have a great weekend.

    Weird cartoon of the day...

  19. Same here, Clint. We are watching the races on TV. My sister went to the Oaks yesterday and the Derby today. She had a win in the last race. That must have been her only win so far...she's only texted me once. :happy102:

Our friends flew to Chicago on their way to Brussels yesterday. Their outbound flight at SDF was delayed two hours due to all the incoming air traffic for the Derby. The private jets come in from all over. Derby is a big deal here.

  20. It's nice to get a W in the LAST race. I was at Pimlico(Md), many years ago for the Preakness. I won in the FIRST race of that day.. all it did was give me some extra Washingtons for the REST of the day. (Note...I lost all my other races, including the Preak itself).
