Gawwwwd. What is the world coming to? Back in November I commented about the hideous band playing halftime during one of the Thanksgiving games. The hideous band in question: The Jonas Brothers.

Turn the clock ahead and these hacks have a 3-D movie out this weekend. Guh...I can't believe this is what the kids find popular today. When I was their age I was jamming to AC/DC, Ozzy, BTO, Yes, Eagles, Bad Company, Halen and on and on. What happened????

I was jamming to the same stuff, and older. Kind of strange though, because my peers were listening to rubbish. While my classmates listened to New Kids on the Block or whatever it was, I was flipping through my Dad's vinyl.

 

So.... after mentioning cartoons we used to watch in college to Jen, I was thinking about some of the movies we used to watch. The haveners (online chat group that a bunch of us geeks belonged too) watched Princess Bride so often we could quote the movie from one end to the other... Now... I just happen to go to xkcd and here it is.....

Are you sure none of you is involved in that comic? this happens way too bloody often!

Not bad... prolly going to sleep soon, I have to take 28 kids to competition tomorrow morning so I ought to get some sleep. Hmmm better go grab a book to read from the bedroom before wife is completely asleep.

Oh... got the Provence Sante and will try it tomorrow.

 

I wouldn't worry, this will be buried in a day, never to be seen again.

Guy declined the offer to buy that N4 slim. No biggie. It's still sitting on no bids with just under 20 hours to go. I'll take a shot at it if it's still reasonable tomorrow afternoon.

 

Ya know... that is kind of sad.

So after looking through all our books and ruling books out for various reasons. I decided to go with a book that no matter what distractions pop up.. no matter how many times I get interrupted I will easily be able to fall back into the story. A book that has been with me since high school and has seen many such a trip come and go...

EDIT: 28 kids? Science competition? I've got to go to a Bar Mitzvah tomorrow. I've never been, but all I can think of is kids running around and screaming for some reason. Not my idea of a relaxing Saturday.
