Looks like you went for a walk and stumbled upon a shave nest.

    MAYhem safety moment:
In an industrial setting, the phenomenon Joe speaks about is a major concern.

Here's another bad news scenario that makes for an interesting/stupid YouTube video. Improper pressurized gas cylinder storage can allow cylinders to fall over and possibly break off the regulator. This, in effect, creates a missile. I volunteer in settings where kids are present, and I've had multiple discussions with folks handling Helium cylinders. Anytime you see one of these cylinders free-standing and unsecured, there's a potential problem. I see them often, and I always stop, explain what can happen, and ask the folks involved to secure the cylinders.

  11. Thanks, Charlie. This family is very strong in their Christian faith and they know their father is rejoicing.

  16. Thanks Clint!

  20. A coworker was burning trash in a burn barrel at his home. He did not realize he had throwed an arosol paint can in the barrel. When it blew it caught him on fire. 2nd and 3rd degree burns over his arms, chest, stomach and thighs. It took him about 8 months to recover. He could tell you some stories about the burn unit at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. He said he could hear the cart coming down the hall to clean his burns and start to cry. I would not wish that on anyone.
