    Good afternoon, guys!
    I decided to use Danny's suggestion to shave with olive oil. Ok, this is Dovo Shavette shave #63. I am still using the Voshkod blade (3rd shave). Washed my face with Stirling Deep Blue soap, toweled dry and then rubbed extra virgin olive oil on my face and neck. Did 2 passes with minor touchups. I didn't get any nicks, weepers, but did get some neck irritation. I ended with DFS+/IBSS-. The cheeks were pretty smooth, but I could still feel some stubble on the neck, mustache and chin areas. Note: Olive oil does work, but I would only use it as a last resort.
    Result: Grade 91 = A-

    A 91 is not a bad grade for a shave like that. Thanks for the report and for jumping in on an out of the ordinary shave. :happy088:

    Thanks, Danny! The olive oil is very thick, but not as slick as the shaving soaps. I had to be extra careful using the shavette in order to prevent any injuries. It is quite a different shave and would not recommend it to someone new to wetshaving with or without a shavette.

    Glad the blade worked for you, I think they have an unbranded coated industrial blade too
    Beautiful shot Jim! I need to get my Grizzly Bay brush into action. I wrote GB on Facebook and he's getting done new knots in but no two bands do that leaves me with the options of waiting for the SHD or going with the Envy White.
