Thank you Danny. The texture on the handles is deep cut. Otherwise they don't look much different. I've seen several types of milk as an ingredient in soaps. Yogurt, too. I've yet to taste or cook goat but I'm curious. In cities with larger ethnic (other than Caucasian?) populations live, or fresh butchered goat seems to be available. About the only way I'll find it here is to visit the auction barn on a Friday night. I've butchered deer, rabbits, various fowl, and fish. Not sure how the grand kids would take to the whole process. They helped clean a batch of blue crabs last weekend. Crabs aren't "cute".
Little goats are too cute...that would not work out to good. I have tried goat one time years ago and it is better than pork.
hello fello Mayhemians ,decided on another blue shave ..after an almost perfect dfs+ near bbs shave with the new deluxe there wasn.t much left this evening..so a 2 pass drive with the flat bottom did the trick..tried the gillette platinum out ..at least this packaging version. very grand shave , nice with this razor..wilki stick.derby stick blend did the deed with the wcs synth and a face lather did the job..some henri and victoria mentholated balm was really nice..will test drive the new sheraton when there is more lawn to mow.. happy wednesday gents..
MAYhem!!! 2019 May 7 Razor - Wunderbar Slant Blade - (3 Soap - Stirling Island Man Brush - 30DC LE Post - Alum End of regulation. Blues and Stars tied 1-1. These guys can't find an easy way to win but there's still hope. Anyway, I did get my shave in. One last run with the Wunderbar and Voskhod. I tried out the Stirling Island Man. Have to say I like it! Lots of different scents involved but they equal a very nice scent and, of course, the standard exceptional Stirling lather. The LE brush did a perfect job with the lather. Speaking of LE brushes - the meet up brushes are ready to go. In fact, they are stored safely at Cartel HQ for those who attend the meet up and are interested. Any left over from the meet up will be available to the rest of the members of the 30DC. We'll deal with that when the time arrives. I will say this......the Meet up brush is STUNNING!! @jtspartan did himself proud on this one! As for the finish of my shave - well - you know how it shouldn't be a MAYhem setup really? I managed to find some anyway. On my reverse slide on the right side of the neck I apparently found the maximum angle you can go with that. Too much angle on the slide topped with too much pressure on the razor and I got one heck of a scrape across my neck. A bloody scrape that nearly put me through the ceiling when I went over it with alum. Lesson learned. At least for now. Well, still end of regulation and still 1-1. At least it isn't raining. Have a great night!
May 7th Gillette Red Tip w PermaSharp Stirling Gentleman TGN Finest/ Maple handle Thayers CL Unconditional Surrender Shaved very early this morning and then drove a few hours for a meeting. Back home and posting now. Went with one of my top ‘Tobacco Tuesday’ combos- the Gentleman and Unconditional Surrender. I was completely smooth and had a nice, relaxing drive. Too bad no one got to enjoy this fantastic combo in the vehicle, but I guess beggars can’t be choosers. I’m going to try to catch up a bit, but I haven’t been too successful at that lately. Who is the MAYhem star so far? Have a great night, all.
Nice report, Rick! It is a coincidence that I am due to receive my A4 (55) RedTip on Thursday. It is not as nice as yours, but I bought it because it is my birth year. In fact, I would estimate that it is 3 to 6 months younger than I am.
Rob, I agree that cuts, nicks, and weepers are due to less than optimal technique. However, it seems you had a good shave despite the chin cut.
Wow, you made the hat trick on Redtip shaves, Jason. I am feeling pretty good that I bought one this week.
