Terrific picture, Jason. At some point, I just give up and jump to the end. Just know that @Drygulch superglued a blade to his finger and shaved with it.

 

There are better looking Reds out there Joe. I'm happy mine has intact plating though it's not particularly shiny. I did find a matching red finger nail paint but haven't used it since the knob isn't badly chipped or peeling. It may not be the original color but it looks like the current shade of dark red.

Since it seems the green was possibly older products my next will probably be the brown. I'll let you know Joseph. I'm getting down to the last quarter of that glass bottle it's decanted into.

I went for another night shave yesterday on a day's worth of growth. I think I have 6 shaves on this blade...1 more to go. Two left-handed passes and some touch ups left me feeling refreshed and ready for a good night's sleep. It adds some variety to throw in a night shave every now and then. This might become the routine until the move is completed. I added the Liquid Gold finish this morning and then decided to pack it away with everything else. It will make the trip to the new place after all. I guess that means @clint64 will never step foot into the house.

MAYhem is rolling, for sure. I have enjoyed seeing all the wonderful SOTD reports and following the banter. Anytime I sense a calm in the storm, I'll throw in a provocative post or two just to keep things interesting. It's a very thin line separating trolling and doing my personal best to maintain 30DC morale and momentum.

We're having another beautiful, warm, dry day here...hope it lasts. Have a fantastic day, gentlemen!

Quick post, to document my 3rd Day in a row shaving with the Henkels, 5th day in a row with a straight.

A little of a minimalist shave today, as it went very well. DFS with 2.5 passes.....it's two for my face, 3 for the neck. A couple tiny weepers, 1 was the same silly razor bump on my chin. The MWF and Semogue boar gave a really nice lather/slick cushion. First pass was mostly N/S, then 2nd was S/N (neck only, some irritation, not convinced a S/N pass helps other than the center of my neck), then WTG everywhere.

The 3rd pass I tried something I've been wanting to do....I shaved left side with right hand, and vice versa. I can really see what I'm doing better, and it feels very natural. Did a little bit of neck stretching on the right side. VOILA! Not as close as the Feather DX shavette with a Feather ProGuard blade, but easily as close as I can do with any DE razor so far. Pretty happy with that! I did get a good kick from the Proraso AS on the lower neck....it's way of pointing out that S/N pass wasn't something done with good technique, or that swipe just doesn't work for me.

I'm also playing with the blade angle a good bit now. I'm the most comfortable and can shave closer with a very low angle....the spine/shoulder is just barely a width off the skin surface.
