I have been to bbq joints in quite a few states and that was in the top 10 that I’ve had the pleasure of eating.

We only had 12 people last year, however, if we get 18 we could play kickball on the roof of the parking structure at Ameristar.

LOL . I recognized the Flinstones percussion sound there for a second or so. But yes indeed, a ball dropping from a tall bldg. can cause people to do some quick thinking.

If it isn't bourbon and horse races (well, after this year's race bourbon) I wouldn't trust anyone from Western KY. Just saying.

They are literally next door to Hendrick's BBQ where we'll have Saturday evening BBQ. A few miles from the breakfast buffet at Golden Corral.

The Ameristar Casino/Hotel is also close, about a mile from the restaurant if that's more to your tastes. It's also more expensive but, that's to be expected at a casino.

Rooms should be available in both locations. I've reached out to the Country Inn as last year and have gotten the same more or less silent response on trying to block any rooms off. I just can't give them enough of a guarantee on number, so I recommend booking early to make sure you get in. Same for Ameristar. I believe Keith has already booked there as the hours there suit his jet lag better.

@mrchick and @Drygulch spent the afternoon last year wandering up and down Main Street in the antique stores and hauled off some nice straight razors. There are plenty to wander through. Also some nice restaurants for lunch. Depending on size of group and preferences we can do some sightseeing during the afternoon or just do your own thing as individuals or with others you choose.

Oh - for those flying in - if you need ground transportation let me know as well. I can probably find a guy with a nice Mazda or van to pick you up. He drives like a madman but hasn't killed anyone yet.
