I have one. They are terrific knots with nice backbone and yet relative soft tips. Since I face lather, the backbone is what I enjoy the most on this knot.

It was 97 english pounds. I have no idea what that amounts to in dollars. That's probably good. Clint gets an enabler shavey nomination.

 

I've got one. It's a good knot. Not quite on the level of a two band Thater, Paladin or Simpson, in terms of getting that "wall of badger", but a really good value.

I just finished my shave.
Gillette 1955 (A4) Red Tip
Zeletek Polsilver blade
Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
Stirling Glastonbury Soap
Stirling Glastonbury AS
I just received my Redtip today and decided to go away from my Dovo focus and join the Redtip party that was evident this week. Bloomed the soap and face-lathered to the usual Stirling performance. I had to use three passes with touchups to shave a one day stubble. Did get a very tiny weeper that was gone in no time. I did get an excellent BBS shave and was quite satisfied with this razor. However, I would not use this razor when I have 2 days and beyond beard growth because I need the max. setting on my Fatboy or Slim using only 2 passes instead of 3. The RedTip is a great razor as long as I keep it to only shave one day stubble. I am pleased with the look of this razor and glad that I have it because it was manufactured months after I was born. We lived near Boston in those years-thus it would make sense that my first haircut was done by an Italian-American. Perhaps he even dusted off my young neck with Clubman Talc .

Thanks, Andrew! Although I am not a golfer, there are drivers and putters in our DE razors. I consider the RedTip and the VDH razors as putters and my Fatboys, Slim and Rockwell 6c as drivers.

 

Paul, I am sure they did use Clubman Talc.

 

Thank you Charlie we had a great time. Maya took longer volunteering so we did not get to spend as much time as we wanted. We are going back up as a family on Sunday for some to tour some wineries.

I was going with the “ignorance is bliss” theory, Chris. I really didn’t want to know, so I’d have plausible deniability. In fact I’m going to assume your math is wrong, and go back to blissful ignorance. Besides, it’s Clint’s fault if anyone asks.
