Amazing what you can do with an old shelf, a stainless steel tube, some stainless deck screws and the right tools...

Verily. That should be the goal of new converts before considering other acronyms.
Nice design. Except for the cap etching a pleasant minimalist modern style. Hope it shaves well for you! If it's too mild, but the handle is swappable it's worth that. Might also be a good core for a new shaver starter set.

    Thanks, Jason.

This is a sample of cream I got at Maggard a couple of years ago. It is a good cream, interchangeable with other English creams performance wise. It wouldn't surprise me if it were made by Creighton's, but I don't actually know if that's the case. The scent is exactly as advetised - limes and pommegranite. Not to heavily scented. It was probably stronger two years ago. The little sample tub doesn't look airtight.

I do have the hard soaps too, and I'm a fan. Excellent slick lather, and it puts up with the hard water here in these parts.

    EDRIO #60 FaTip Piccolo
    Gillette Wilkinson Sword (3)
Yaqi Ruby Red (24mm, Frigate Class)
    Cella soap and AS
    Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB

This mornings shave was a bit on the rough side. I don't like to load my brush in the small Cella tub so I scooped a bit of the soap out with my finger and pressed it into the bottom of my scuttle. I should know better as I never get great lathers when I do this. I don't think I was able to work in enough water and thus slickness was less then ideal. Pair that with an aggressive razor and the results were not comfortable. Three slightly uncomfortable passes lather brought home the baby. I finished with some Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB to call down a little irritation and then splashed on a generous amount of the Cella AS. Have s great weekend my friends!

    TGIF!!

Rawr! Did you know that dino is made from dinosaurs? Cute photo.

Have you had issues with the Fatip on previous shaves? They are know to be on the efficient / aggressive side.

No, usually get great shaves with the FaTip and the result were there typical BBS from this beast, I attribute roughness to the poor lather.
