This just came in, today. I couldn't pass on the price either. It was kind of tarnished looking, when posted. A little polish did wonders. It looks barely used, and still had the Bluing on the tang and tail, that didn't show wear. . But, I will be on the lookout for some "Donor Scales". Razors made by Carl Monkhouse are phenomenal.

 

Played this in the haul but here’s my 8/8 w&b

This one all about the grind... I can’t say I have seen this before.

A “G.C. Co.” out of Germany. I have seen normal razors (thumbnotch and normal geometry) with this mark so I am not sure the story behind this grind.

The grind starts about 1/2 way down. Not a lot of radius and the spine is thin, so that makes sense.

It almost seems that they had some flatter stock than normal and they figured they could still use it.

And it is symmetrical.

Interesting. Probably medical type razor?!?!? Not sure. Any thoughts or have you seen another like this?

That looks absolutely impossible to hone. At least with the skill and equipment I've got.

Thank you! Great razor for sure, I honed it a bit harsh so need to mellow it out some on the hone before next time.

Also my first time using a razor this big. Interesting experience to say the least.

 

My Shave Ready Puma 89 Solingen 6/8th Arrives Today from Sweden...Its a Cracker..I Will Put a Natural Edge on it ASAP...
