Looking forward the report and I have to remember the following:

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s [including his Tatara Masamune]” (Ex. 20:17).

 

That is a line of thought I can support!

 

I think I will go with the Tatara OC so I can compare it with the Wolfman OC I used this morning. I can already see a lot of similarities between the two razors in terms of craftsmanship.

 

You are going to pair the Tatara up with some Williams and Clubman?

 

Thankfully no.

 

Using the infinite Wisdom of the Almighty, the penman of the Scripture left that out for a reason.......

Days 11-13

Rockwell until the wheels come off the Caddy....



Six days for the Rockwell and I'll call it spent. This blade would probably go longer in a more aggressive geometry, but six days isn't too shabby! Super busy weekend, spent outside working in the sun, and then a little diversion to watch an NBA game seven in-person on Sunday. Later on, I will be picking a sampler blade and continuing the MAYhem with some Ingram shave cream and a brush. For now, more work to do out under the prairie sun. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

Got busy yesterday and off my 48 hour reset timing. After dropping the grand daughters at school this morning, I had time for a shave before returning for their awards ceremony. Not enough time to commit to another SR reduction so I went reliable and well known. Easy lather with an old boar brush & bowl. Lanolin in the soap gives great post shave feel, and probably slicks for the shave, too. The blade felt fine so I went three passes, but skipped much clean up fiddling to avoid irritation or errors. Matching AS splashed on quietly though my lower neck tingled a little. Got to the school to pick a good seat where the girls scored trophies for both making Honor Roll all year, plus between them 6 medals for achievements in PE, Art, Library, and something unspecific but animal paw print shaped. A good time was had by all since they found a way to send every child home with some kind of accommodation.

Oh....I think I'd still have to put on some AS on a night shave. Just part of the experience! Love the Wilkinson Razor, and great shave report!

Pretty razors....and definitely no straight razor shaving when tired. Get some rest!

I really like the 1911 Single Ring.....it's a razor of an era my grandfather started shaving. For some reason I really like a few he would've used (heads off to eBay for the 243rd time in a week)....

Great Shave Danny. I was thinking of you while shopping couple days ago (don't go there)....saw a pack of 4 plastic salsa bowls for $10 at a local Hispanic themed store. Each a different color, nice, about the right size. Was tempted....but they didn't have lids.

Very badly. Piano lasted 2 years in elementary. 3 months of violin. Then from 6th to 12th I was percussion. Now just practice pads and several sets of sticks for when I need to bang on something. Piano is my youngest daughters. 5 years of lessons, then marching band hit this year (3 years of clarinet also). Oldest daughter is also in band....French Horn (4 years). Busy part of the year...tonight they both have band duties for the seniors ceremony at the high school.
