It's one of the best and inexpensive soaps out there when it comes to shaving supplies.

It is a good soap but some people don’t like the smell. I think it smells fine, a cross between lemon Pledge and soap. IMHO it is best bang per dollar in shaving soap.

Arko is a great soap. You may or may not like the scent - a 50/50 proposition. You'll have enough in a 12-pack for yourself, friends, family...and still have enough left over to degrease 9 car engines and keep flying insects (and most importantly @Hembree) off the back porch all summer.

Bottom line...you gotta try it. Let us know what think. :)

You don't want that guy on your back porch. He is like a hound dog that will not leave and I hear he has fleas! :taunt002:

Just let it sit out in the open so that it can air out. It will eventually smell no worse than Williams.

I grated it and left it on the kitchen table over night. You should have smelled my kitchen. I may need to get it out and put it outside for a while.........a long while!

I do believe ARKO is made in Turkey. I have yet to see it on store shelves in the US. Maybe if you live in a large urban center. The stuff is so inexpensive I'd suggest shopping for a three stick deal. If you like it you'll have 1-1/2 years worth of lather, or a couple sticks to share with friends & family.
