    Univinlions Salon kami-shavette
    Feather Artist Club Pro blade
    M&L Florida Water Cologne
SOTD 05172019 Ist use Feather AC Pro.png No nonsense lather from a serious brush. Fresh blade as suggested by Those Who Know. Much better results on my second use of the kamisori style shavette. I thought about letting my beard grow out another day for a regular (for me) 2 day growth. Naw, this is MAYhem and I had a new blades for a new holder to wield. Much better results! So much so that I proceeded with a full WTG, a bunch of ATG, & some XTG where I could work it in. Had one low skill set down below my lip, right side. Drew a little blood but it sealed up before I got to the AS. Am I BoPS yet? I can see I need to work on ambidextrous technique. I found easy grips with my more skilled (left) hand & felt a little clumsy in off hand passes. No DE clean up so I can get a better read on where I need improvement. Definite SAS considering the Slacker style scruffiness practiced by today's young men.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

The general point I was trying to make is that I find it more difficult attain a top notch irritation free shave at lower adjustable settings where you just don't have the blade feel. Miss the correct angle a little and, no cut. Tendency is to want to press down.

Wide open and you can miss the perfect angle a bit, and compensate with pressure. Difference here is having the feedback on blade feel makes it easier to regulate.

You may have misinterpreted my tongue in cheek use of 'sloppy', but an adjustable wide open does not require the correct angle as much as the same razor set on low. If you are adjusting the pressure as you go, it is not really sloppy technique.

I am in Japan and was going to wish Joseph good luck on the surgery but before I could post he reported it was successful. In regards to adjustable razors and gap I am for a wide open and razors with large gaps. I just adjust by changing my angle. I struggle to get good shaves with mild razors. Open blades are my choice for adjustable razors and traditional razors for the bespoke nature, not only can adjust the aggressiveness mid stroke I can fine too the edge for smoothness and sharpness.

Departure morning shave was a Rocnel SE-G, EDBIO selection was a Shavemac 2 band. The soap was Fine Vetiver and the more I use this soap the more I appreciate its performance.

While in Tokyo my Karve is auditioning to become my travel razor and it is winning. EDBIO is a Everset with a Whipped Dog silver tip. The institute karitte shave soap surprised me, very slick and good post shave feel.

Mr. Fancy Pants @BaylorGator inspired me with high fauluten hotels and $20 shakes, so I am staying at the Park Hyatt that was in the movie Lost In Translation.

Build better technique...all that stuff is mostly bull feathers. The blade cuts the hair not the gap. There is no need for extra passes with a milder razor with proper technique.
