    Hello all
Doing ok and busy but took some time to say I'm still shaving away.

    20190518_094347.jpg

All the shave stuff I have been using more or less since last time.
Went to a 2 pass shave and my slants for quicker shaving. I seem to get better performance from a blade from a twisted slant razor. That means I only use one Feather blade per shave when using a twisted slant razor. I also like the light bakelite or plastic razors, they keep the razor rash off the top of the noggen. Gets the job done and makes quick work of it all.
Haven't had time to read all of the posts here, at what 50 or so a day??
    The bad news is.....
My sister in laws husband has what they say is lung cancer, found it a few days ago and it's every where. We are gonna go see them today, not much to hope for him I'm afraid. Heavy smoker, Heavy drinker, no one could convince him otherwise. Always had a beer in one hand and a smoke in the other. Says he dosen't belive in God, but looks like he's gonna meet him sooner than later.
Sis has not had any tragety in her life, no kids and parents still alive, she is not taking it well. Mabe we can be a support or sholder to cry on. It's getting real for her now, hard and tough. Thanks for the prayers, he will need all he can get!

That's where it's at fellow shavers.

    To all
    Enjoy

    Eufros Kasbah~~Simpson Astor~~Ralf Aust
    SR #84
48 hours after my last shave and 24 hours after hernia-repair surgery, I just finished shaving.
Manuel sent me a sample of his Eufros Kasbah and that is what I used.
I have gushed on and on about his soaps and this one is no exception.
The scent reeks of Casablanca and the base is exquisite.

I was just able to score a once-used tin and the matching ASB for a great price,
so my Eufros stock has just gone up. As a matter of fact,
I have more Eufros soaps in my den (7)
    than any other manufacturer.
The Astor knot is crazy soft. Indeed, I am not sure it was ever used, as some brown badger-funk
oozed from the knot when I palm-lathered it yesterday.
The handle is very similar to a Polo and an Emperor. Slight
    variances.
    Nice ergonomics as well.
Don't even miss my Paladins. My biggest Simpson selling regret was letting go of
a 2014 CH3 Manchurian in faux briar. What a beast that was.
    Oh well...

The Ralf Aust got a few laps on the CrOx linen, followed by the SRD strop.
    Crisp, sharp edge.
Got to pay attention setting the blade down on the skin. Does NOT take much to draw blood.
Alum was quiet. Thayer's Medicated was...well, medicinal.
Finished with some Simpson unscented ASB, which I think is starting to turn.
One of the oils, I imagine. A little stinky.
Might have to round file it.
Dr. Primo is taking good care of me. I am settled into my recliner and icing my...area.
Better get off of the internet, or I might be adding more gear to the den.

Still waiting on my Simpson 59. I hate it when a seller assigns a tracking number to a
package, but doesn't take it to the USPS for 3-4 days. :angry019:
Thanks again for all of the thoughts and prayers. They worked.
    Primo...out.

Nice, relaxing 3 pass shave earlier this morning. The GEM Jr delivered another solid performance, although I will probably change the blade. I may not be perfectly smooth, but I’m within range of it. The soap is, to quote @clint64, intoxicating and the performance is top notch as well. While most of my favourite soaps use tallow, this one is a clear exception. There may be better soaps out there, but they don’t reside in my den.
    Have a great day all!

A lovely looking private yard, Randy. It is so lush where you live, very nice. Is there a road behind that high hedge, or are you just creating a little more privacy?
I’ve enjoyed your Single Ring pics and combos this week, Jim. Getting my hands on some vintage Brut (the stuff in the drug stores now smells a little cheap, I must admit) is something I’d like to do and I hear this is a good dupe. What is your take on it? I don’t own any PAA products, fwiw.
So sorry for your sister in law, Terry.
I see the 100 pack of Feathers in the back of your pic. Those must be good for at least 50 shaves or so...;)
I take it “reeks of Casablanca” is a good thing, Joseph.
    Speedy recovery, friend!

It is nice to see you recovering very quickly. Great looking shave Joseph. I agree with you on the frustration of a seller that will not take the package to the post office.
