I have had a wonderfully relaxing morning. I slept late, made breakfast and drank a full pot of coffee before attempting a shower and shave. I really needed a lazy morning to recoup. @ram57 Guy sent me some samples of Black Ship Grooming soaps that I have not used in sometime. Since I was in a Bay Rum mood, I went with Black Beard which is a citrus bay rum scent. The big Zenith loaded and lathered the Black Beard with ease. I decided to change the lineup since taking the picture last night. I changed the Open Comb plate for the the Safety Bar plate reducing the blade gap from 0.73mm to 0.63mm. The resulting shave was smooth and drama free. Three passes and touch ups just let the baby escape. Without buffing my lower right neck was not perfect. I finished off the matching aftershave sample. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Thanks all, found out stage 4. See if they can do anything for him. Hope and pray.

Oh Jason, those are 200 yellow packs on each side, not worth only buying 100 at a time any more. Only have about 460 Feathers, gonna get another 200 next week get me to next year.
    But thanks!

While I've not seen a photo of your face, Paul, I assume you'd look quite dashing sporting a bit of face fur.

Randy @BaylorGator and family are probably safer in their own private polyethylene pond. Chlorine takes time to kill the negative factors that it can eradicate. I have no envy for life guards. On an up note - I hear Pamela Anderson has been cured of Hep-C.

Thank you Clint! The F-AC-Pro's are top notch. I didn't mute the corners as a control experiment. That gave me a real world view for how good they are. Quite sharp and efficient.
Thanks Danny! I'm glad I picked one up. Shavette style is so easy to swap in a fresh blade, but now I'll be watching for a real kamisori. A little blood in the steel is par for the new razor course. I'll play several more rounds before this stick gets put away.
Neal @NCoxSTL and a number of Cartel Members have an informal organization called The Brotherhood of Pain Sticks. Both you Bill @Edison Carter and Joseph @Primotenore are familiar with open blades. These disposable edge open blade razors are know to be less forgiving of poor technique. I paid a very small price for my heel dip.

, I think the one I'd go for the most is #3-Van Dyke. I don't want to get my side-burns involved and I'd rather not have a mustache/beard(if I can help it). This is great info..thanks.

    Good afternoon, guys!
In keeping with my Dovo focus, I brought out my Dovo Special 5/8 round point. This was my very first traditional straight razor. This shave is my 69th traditional straight razor shave. I decided to lather the Stirling Satsuma with my Semogue OC badger brush. Finished my first pass and got two weepers. I realized the blade needed to be refreshed on my Crox treated strop. After refreshing my razor, I redid my first pass and continued onward with my 2nd pass and touchups. I got an IBSS+ but with the 2 weepers, I did get some irritation which I attribute to the blade being somewhat dull. I will be using this razor again, but will hit it on the barber hone and crox before shaving with it. Finished with styptic, witchhazel and the Satsuma AS.
    Result: Grade 93 = A-
Have a great Saturday afternoon, fellas!

It's a great report and shave, Danny! However, I am surprised that your Omega didn't perform.

Or it could be the 2 minute warning, where the referee casually walks over to each coach and says "I don't know that you know this, but I just wanted to inform you that there are 2 minutes left in the half. Don't say I didn't warn ya!!"

I sure am sorry to hear about your sister-in-law's husband, Terry. Cancer is a terrible disease...the effects are physical, emotional, and spiritual. I became a believer in the Lord when my Bride had cancer the first time. Praying.
