What's your favorite filling? I like well-executed lengua, and, of course-- carne asada of skirt beef. Street style (cilantro, onions and lime juice) is my favorite finish.
Just waiting on my electrician to device the room (I don't rember what wires do what, have a few 3 way switched lights and a blue tooth speaker in the exhaust fan) and a door that was on back order for my walk in closet and the room will be complete. Next... The kids Bathroom! Smaller room with way more problems. That one I need to remove and replace the sub floor before I remodel it. That will start next week or the week after depending on my real job. Thank you Jim!
I had two street style skirt steak tacos today. Fish tacos are also a regular choice of mine. The place today was a gringo so no lengua though that is fantastic as well. With all the great choices I could have tacos almost every day of the week.

I can't be that picky in North Atlanta. It is nice to have the time to go to other metro areas that serve more authentic items.
Kudos on the precise trim, Paul. I guess anything's possible with a Stoylin covered mug and gourd. Did you decide against the soul patch?
Thank you Charlie. Wade and I had a good ride. My left elbow acted up a little. Plus we are both not used to racking up serous miles so our backsides were a little sore after the ride.
Beardbrand is an interesting YouTube channel, Paul. Lots of guys there are getting their beards trimmed/shaped and getting some interesting haircuts. Having a mass of facial hair, especially if it was unkept and left untrimmed (like some of the guys on this channel), would drive me nuts. My Bride wouldn't stand for it, either. I see all this, and I still prefer clean-shaven and a simple haircut every few weeks. Every one is wired differently. I wonder how many of these guys have ever experienced a super close and comfortable shave? I bet that would change a few opinions about having a beard...especially if was gray. Almost without exception, clean-shaven makes a guy look younger.
The best ethnic food in Atlanta is along the Buford Hwy corridor. This is just a little too far out of the way for a lunch most days. The Korean and Indian food close by is better than the Mexican. It could be that our area has a large Korean & Indian population.
Gentlemen, I have reach a milestone today. Tomorrow I will have been wet shaving for five years. When I bought my Van Der Hagen shave kit I wrote the date on it and put it up in closet. This afternoon I recreated that first shave with the same gear and soap. Smelling that Van Der Hagen soap brought back a lot of memories. This shave went a lot better than my first. I loaded the boar brush like you would load a pulp wood truck and went after it. Great shave to say the least. The Utopia razor is not a bad razor. You just have to line the blade up. There is a little play in the head. On a more serious note, I called and checked on friend that I have not spoken to in a couple of weeks. He told me that last Tuesday he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Please pray for David. He is a strong Christian and has a great church family. This is a difficult time for him right now and understandable so.
Actually the only reason I'm letting some hair on the chin&jaw grow is to give my cut there some time to heal. In the meantime, I'm anxious to see what "develops". I do NOT want to have it grow "shoulder-length". Course it may turn out that my idea will come back to haunt me,. as I'd have to shave harder around the area I cut, when I decide to get back to clean-shaven. I'll have a look at this Beardbrand, thanks.
May 19 Good afternoon, fellas! I just finished my 70th traditional SR shave with my Dovo Special and it brings me to 140 total straight shaves (70 shavette shaves have been included). Therefore, I am 70% of my 100/100 goal! I decided to Crox this razor again because I just did enough to get by yesterday's shave. Rocky brush lathered the Stirling Bay Rum into a nice, slick cushion. Two passes, touchups and 1 weeper w/o irritation. I am convinced that I am getting weepers from this razor because there might be a tiny cut on the edge because it catches me in the same area. I just have to avoid that part when I use this razor until I do a full out hone. Anyway, I achieved an IBSS+. I still feel some stubble when I go against the grain on my neck, but it is not visible. I didn't want to pursue BBS with this razor. Result: Grade 95 = A Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon guys!
