I would just like to say that I received a nice box of goodies from Clint @clint64. I look forward to trying out the goodies in future shaves. For some reason the Tatara Masamune did not get accidently dropped in the box. ;) I am sure that razor was in another room when the box was packed. You have be careful you know. Thanks Clint, I really appreciate it.

My SHD bulb was super short lofted. I had to use three quarters in the handle to get it to a somewhat reasonable loft. According to Maggard they are the supposed to have the same loft as the fans but my fan was a good 4-5mm taller then the bulb

You’re welcome Danny. I hope you enjoy the items. If not you have success in converting others so some of the stuff could be used for that.

Good shave 2 pass with some touch up left me ibss. The frozen tundra paired well with the dbs, the peppermint worked with it.

This morning was my first shave with the Enders Speed Shaver. Aaaaaand...we have a winner! With a NOS Enders blade, even. That part surprised me. I was really expecting a tug fest from the vintage blade, but it was reasonably sharp after however many years. Nice, crunchy audio feedback not unlike old Gems. I needed a little extra buffing at the end, but that's almost certainly me, not it. Give it a few days, that will change. No irritation, even with the extra buffing.
Lather today was Klar almond, then I got into my other sample of Apricot Hull aftershave.
    Awesome shave.

Awesome shave and I am impressed with the vintage blade as well. Those Enders have some major coolness factor.

Two for the win! Busy afternoon ahead. Back to winter out on the prairie. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

Have a great evening and a pleasant Tuesday!

Thank you fellas, it was a great menthol monday shave. I let the tundra sit on my face for a few minutes and it got tundra cold!

    RyX DoH!

MAYhem Menthol Monday with a side of Pain Stick Focus.

    Proraso Refresh Green SS
    Surrey/VDH boar brush
    Suribachi & cool water
    Chinese Pain Stick
    Feather AC Pro blade
    Proraso Refresh Green AS
SOTD 05202019.png Mild mayhem on a menthol Monday. I skipped the preshave soap because I want to feel when I stab myself with this rascal. Easy lather with the old boar brush and a bowl. Juiced it up just shy of what I like for an open blade. The lather wouldn't rinse of easily, but it gave good glide so I stuck with it. Trying the suggested short strokes instead of them muscle memory DE style passes. That means more chances for set down errors. I got a couple, but self sealing. Better overall results with a more consistent reduction and no urge to do a DE cleanup. Figuring out the curves of my chin will keep me in Focus and attentive. The grips are similar to a SR/shavette but there's no scales to either help or hinder. Still working out which applies. Scoring a SAS is a win. No need of styptic, too. Since the last time I used an alum block either it self detonated, or someone crushed it. The box is full of crumbles so that's on the shopping list. No hurries since I'm sure it would light up the multitude of minor errors. Best news is I'm having fun while shaving.
    Good Shaves Y'all!
