The Straight Razor Acquisition Thread

This one looked like it was almost NOS. It still has the factory Bevel. It just took a slight shining up, with only one small dot, in the middle of the blade, towards the heel.
I stropped it and it was popping Hanging Hairs, almost the entire edge. It looks straight as an arrow, but I will still take it to my stones, for a consistent edge.

 

He shoots! He scores!! Nice acquisitions gentlemen.

I'm going clean up one little thing, strop it, the lay it on my ugly mug.

 

Splash some alcohol based aftershave on, afterwards, and tell us if you would do it again. They will take a very nice edge though, when properly honed. These are easier to hone than the Gold Dollars.

 

Ain't this MAYhem over in 30DC.

IMO, far less risky than freehanding a Feather. Or, Gorilla gluing a DE to my finger.

I got this Razor in last week. It's my Max Sprecher Custom, I think Max has done his best work on this razor.
