Here's something I need to "focus" on that I hope will improve with time. I'm 2 shaves in with the AgadirMen invisible gel, and I need to crank out more of it with each shave (That is to say, until I am comfortable with the amount). . Can't "play it safe" with invisible gel. (I may have discussed this "focus" issue before, but there it is again).
Thank you, Jason. I put padded drawer liner on the shelves to help keep from scuffing the razors and keep them in nice shape. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Great shave reports, everyone. I'm still hanging on... currently enjoying the post-War Canadian Tech with a 7 o'Clock Indian green. I seem to be falling into a pattern of shaving every other day at the moment. Getting very pleasant results.
Yeah, I'm glad you are healing well Joseph @Primotenore. I hate it when folks post in the Does This Look Infected thread.
Interesting tid bit from Van Yulay site for you bowl latherers. Silicone folding bowl. I'm a face latherer but I'm always looking out for you guys.
Thank you Keith. She does work for her accomplishments on the horn. Some days it's several hours. Hopefully soon I'll have an example of a western grind kamisori. Still looking... Thank you Jason. Sincerely appreciated.
Between every other day allowing for a nice batch of stubble, and evening shaves with plenty of time, I can't think of any improvements to add. No, not going to shave my head.
I'm nearing full capacity on the two shelves I have allotted for them and my brushes. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Well wasn't that a fun late afternoon. We had a nice little storm system blow by that dropped a few tornadoes, but we only had high winds and it's still raining here at Cartel HQ. No danger of anything bad here as long as the cars don't float away. Springtime in St. Louis. It's a never-ending house of fun! I'm holding off on my shave until morning. With my schedule settling in on the new jobs and my routine changing I'm probably going back to morning shaves. I'm thinking that may be a better plan as I am now getting home at different times so staying with a schedule is more difficult. We'll see if I can still hold a razor and use it without cutting any major arteries early in the morning. The only other news tonight - Blues 3 Sharks 1 as we go into the 3rd period!!!!! The Bruins await and we want a shot at 'em!! Point of history - the last time the Blues were in the Stanley Cup Finals was 1970 and we lost to the Bruins. It's time to make up for that.
May 21 Good evening, gentlemen! I just completed traditional SR shave #72! Keeping with my Dovo focus, I brought out my Dovo Best 5/8 round point. It is amazing that the 5/8 Dovo razors that I have used feel small to me because I like my larger razors, too! Anyway, I lathered my favorite scent, the Piacenza, with my Rocky. Two passes, touch up and the fool's pass without any weepers, cuts or irritation gave me a great BBS shave. I have to say I had the best fool's pass ever because it feels like a professional barber did it. I took my time and hit the mustache differently by moving slowly and frequently changing blade direction. Finished with the matching aftershave. I also shaved my head using my '61 Fatboy with the Voskhod blade, but used the last remnants of the Sandpiper soap with my Rocky. 3 passes and got a nice smooth headshave. Finished with Aqua Velva Result Face and neck Shave Grade 98.5 = A+ Headshave Grade N/A. I don't grade headshaves unless I use a straight or shavette. Have a great evening, guys!
Thanks, Danny! That's all but two of them, an EJ89 that's out on loan and a Flare Tip that's a repeat. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Day 2 with the Enders. The vintage blade is still holding up fine. The shave was pretty much yesterday all over again, except with scent. I wonder how many years it would take for a puck of tabac to lose its scent...
