Wrapped the handle of the Feather AC DX. Only waxed thread on hand. It's a little thin, 0.5mm. Will have to make a trip to hobby store and get some 1.0 or 1.5mm waxed thread. Or maybe some thin red leather for stitching. Make it look a little more beefy, menacing and such.
2.5 pass shave, a DFS- with no crimson to report. The Kai Original blade is already showing that it won't last as long as a Feather branded blade. Only 3 uses now, and a little more work to get what I was happy with. I've seen where some actually strop these types of blades.....hmm.
Completely overloaded the Drake this morning with the TOBS SC. Oops. TOBS SC is so soft... Bowl lathered enough for two days of 5 passes.....but at least it was fun, smelled incredible and looked like whipped cream.
As always, Proraso AS Red never disappoints. No feedback from any irritation.
On a side note....gotta be proud Dad for a moment. My oldest daughter (10th grade), got a letter from the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra yesterday. She auditioned a month ago....she's second chair (of 8) in the horn section. This is for next season, 2019-2020. She's pretty stoked (as are wifey and I)!
