You're welcome, Shawn. Didn't know that you could ship using any payment. I actually think using PayPal (or USPS online) is cheaper than shipping from the Post Office.

    I'ma break both your kneecapses.

    Is that Shep?

Hey guys, just stopping in to say I'm alive. Anybody have any suggestions for getting my DE on a plane? I'm only taking carry ons. Should I just take the blade out?

Be sure to check it out later.

Put bacon in your salad and smother it with blue cheese.

Take the blade out. Mail the blades wherever you're going before hand.

Thanks, I'm headed home for spring break and I have a ton of blades there. What about cream/soap? will there be any problems with that? never been on a plane before so I don't really know the rules :ashamed001

The TSA has ever changing rules and regs. They are also enforced differently depending on where you fly out of. Best bet is to check their website first and then call your airport after that.

I am not going back to the TSA rant.. BUT.... they should get a set of rules and stick to them... this we do it how we want at this airport stuff is for the crows.

Soap is fine, cream is not always fine.

If your cream is in a container that is larger than 3 oz, don't take it. Doesn't matter if it's half empty. If it's in a container smaller than 3 oz, you'll need to put it, along with any other liquids in a ziplock bag and take that out for screening when you go through security.

    More info: http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/311/index.shtm

Seems like they've upped the acceptable size from 3 oz to 3.4 oz (100 ml). Hooray metric!

I hear ya Fuzzy, but I have to be honest my outfit does the same thing. Not that this will make you feel better but the reason is because laws and regulations are open to interpretation. US codified law is not black and white regardless of what the TV and movies say. Laws/Regs can be interpreted by local managers, trial attorneys, courts and judges and so on. Different people see things in a different light and make local rules accordingly.

As I said I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I know it's a PITA, but it's one that will never go away. Sorry bro.

EDIT: Having said that I should add that there will be some overall framework or guideline to operate by. Whatever the TSA website says is a good starting point.

Sounds like it was designed by the people who designed my science classroom. The drain is at the highest point in the floor. By the time water goes down the drain, everything else is flooded (including the room underneath me). Trust me, we have found this out multiple times when lowest bid contractor work has fallen apart and pipes spontaneously break.

The city contracted an entire building addition where I work. You should see this piece of junk. Uneven ceiling, uneven floor, leaking roof and on and on. Someday it will cave in and injure or kill people if it happens at the wrong time. Hope I'm not around when it goes.

So does Arizona have a lowest bidder law? Anything made here that is paid for by public money must be built by lowest (not most qualified) bidder.

    What's going on everyone?

Two hour delay threw my day off, didn't get to as much running around as I'd hoped.

Check out my acquisitions in The Haul thread....:D
