  6. Newly acquired, restored, and honed razor. I had a perfect 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues, just super sharp, and smooth. Excellent razor.
Thanks to @Steve56 , I am trying a JNAT Finishing Stone, and Nagura Slurry stone, with this one. Great results.

    Razor - OneBlade Genesis V2
    Blade - [IMG] *Fresh Blade
Shave Brush - 20mm GBS Synthetic 3rd generation
    Deodorant - Generic Baby Powder
Shaving Soap - Catie's Bubbles "Barnegat Bay"
    Aftershave/Cologne - Catie's Bubbles "Barnegat Bay"

There was no shave on Wednesday due to a doctor's appointment early and half a day working from home. Because it's cooler the past several days I'm dipping back into Bay Rum while I have a chance to wear a cool-weather scent. Hard to beat Barnegat Bay. I feel like a well done slightly-clovey bay rum. This fits the bill.

Razor - Feather DX Artist Club (Pain Stick)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Soap Commander Courage
    Brush - Jayaruh #312
    Post - Alum

Well my plan to shave early in the day failed, but I did get a shave in. Second round with the DX and Feather Pro. I think I'll stick with this one for a few days. The blades definitely outlast DE blades so no rush to switch out. Besides, I'm enjoying the pain stick at the moment. The grip on the DX is a little different than the Kai or CJB, and definitely than the SS, so I can use a few days to get it fully under control. Soap Commander for the super slick lather and the JR312 for that fake horse effect I do enjoy. Well, I enjoy the horse brushes, and this one is seriously close, so there you go.

Three passes to enjoy the process and I'm near-BBS and happy as a lark for it. (Is a Lark happier than a Robin? Is that why we say that?) Anyway, it was a fine shave and the alum was nearly silent (usual goatee spots) and all's well. Hope you enjoyed your Wednesday!

    Stanley Cup Finals start Monday!!!

  19. Wednesday SOTN

I just got another buddy to start wet shaving and the razor he is learning with is a black Gillette Superspeed (his grandfather's I might add). So, I figured why not join him on this journey and pull mine out as it's been a while...

3 fairly "speedy" passes and all good except for one small weeper under the chin. My friend Greg had no issues whatsoever today and is excited to learn this awesome manly way of shaving. I warned him that this can become a rabbit hole... Anyway, I'm smooth, smell great, and am ready for bed. Night all!
