Yesterday I bought a Karve Christopher Bradley DE razor with 3” handle and plate E baseplate from West Coast Shaving as a Father’s Day gift for myself. I’m really looking forward to giving it a spin. I’ve been eyeing them for a while.
Congratulations Angelo! You will love the Karve. Did you get the open comb or the solid bar plate? I have the "E" solid bar and it is a great one. Let me know your thoughts when you get it in hand.
You will like it. I actually think the solid bar is slightly smoother than the open comb plate. Give her a test run when she comes in.....I cannot wait to hear your thoughts.
When I first saw it, I thought it was a wooden handle, but then I realized it was an Opal that was marketed as Williams. I’ve restored two similar Opals, but they were red. I really like yellow handles so I am happy to be getting one in bakelite. It being a Williams is bonus!
Fine Accoutrements Snake Bite. This will be my first menthol shaving soap. Clint @clint64 PIFed me a couple of Fine soaps and I have tried the L'Orange Noir. I was impressed with Fines performance so I decided to add Snake Bite to the den. The snake on the box appears to be a rattle head copper mouth! If you are from Alabama you will get this. "Snake Bite shaving soap contains no fragrance components beyond a heavy dose of menthol" - Sounds like fun!
