My favorite razor!!!

My other Mastro Livi Gifretto. The last time I refreshed these blades I did on my Gokuymo 20k and the other on my Shapton Glass 16k. Today's razor is the one finished on the Shapton, and it has consistently sharper and noticeably smoother than the one finished on Gokuymo. The Gokuymo edge is nice but the Shapton edge is just like velvet. I am not sure if it is the stone or I just go lucky.

 

Olive wood on this one, correct Keith? If I remember correctly, that is locally sourced. Big fan of both!

It's Micromatic Monday. I wanted to use my new "bumpless" original 1930 GEM Micromatic. I did the beard reduction pass with the GEM followed by detail and ATG neck with the Geneva.

Touched up my user Filly 14 last night and finished it on a fine stone, details are in the ‘Hones and Hone Acquisitions’ thread. Soap was AoS lemon tallow in the l’OP UFO bowl, lathered with a Simpsons 57 and a little l’OP Cedrat topped off a beautiful shave - BDBS again.
