Asylum Colonia is another homage to ADP and one of three different dupes I have used. The other two are Oleo Shiloh and Fine Italian Citrus. They are all just a little different. Maybe one day I will get to try the real thing. The Thäter loaded and lathered the Colonia with ease. Taking my time to add water slowly while face lathering ended up will a rich slick lather. Three passes and touch ups on my lower right neck ended up with a BBS shave. This was the best shave thus far with the Tatara OC plate. A splash of the matching aftershave and I am ready for the day. My two business partners are leaving for a convention in Hamburg followed by 2 weeks touring Germany and France. So I have a lot of meetings with them today concerning clients and work that will need to be addressed during their absence. I can already tell the next 2-3 weeks will be a lot of fun. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Thank you Jim. This razor is a lot like riding a motorcycle with a narrow power band. When I do my part and stay in the sweet spot, the razor is a joy to use. If not it bites or shaves rough. I always tend to think things will be worse than they turn out to be. I am sure that's the case this time as well.

Thank you Danny. Got rained out on Tuesday. Had fun the other days though.

 

Thank you Jim. The razor with both plates has a very narrow sweet spot on the angle. As such you are rewarded with good technique. The safety bar with its 0.63mm gap shaves very similar to my standard Wolfman OC with its 0.61mm blade gap. However I find the Tatara safety bar more efficient. It is not as forgiving on angle as the Karve D plate safety bar which is just stupid easy to use. Give me some more time with the OC plate and I will go back and shave with the Karve and Wolfman razors before giving a full comparison.

Praise the Lord! I had a good night's sleep that wasn't interrupted with thoughts of what needed to be done today. Now that we're completely moved, we can take things at our own pace. We're not rushing for the sake of our buyers and their buyers.

Backs and knees held up well during the intense parts of the move, and we also Praise the Lord for that. I did @Bama Samurai proud these past few days. He advises me to stay on my feet, and I've done a pretty good job with that. So far, we have met two very nice families on the next street over during our daily walks. One is a former HS principal. He has a very quick wit, a great sense of humor, and he loves ice cream. I will have trouble keeping up with him, but I will try. Another is a former critical care pediatric physician. He also loves ice cream, holding babies, and is a serious student of the Bible. Because of our shared interests, I will really enjoy and profit from getting to know him. Blessings abound!

Tell you what...even though we have thinned down our stuff, we've still got too much. Moving really makes you aware of that. We've decided to move a few more boxes and sacks of clothes into the house from the garage today. We're working on getting my office (retirement playroom) set up, as well as my Bride's clothes closets. It was decided that hands and fingers are too sore today to cut shelf-liner.

The morning actually began fairly normally, with plenty of coffee and some Bible study. I'm so far behind on the thread that I'll pick up again here. I've missed following the daily exploits of the 30DC for the past week. I hope you all are well.

Today's shave will include the Mongoose, a Feather Super Pro (2), my 30DC LE brush, C.O. Bigelow, Thayer's WH, and USB. It will be nice and easy on two days of growth. Really looking forward to it.

As Mr. Darling always says, I'll just jump in where I can and hang on!
