    Had another decent shave with this MMOC, which came a year or two ago via a generous PIF from Andrew @Linuxguile. Whipped up another nice lather with this soap. For me, there is a marked difference between this Super Tallow formula and other RR/TFS soap bases.
    I neglected the shaver for too long as I don't think I'm dialed in with it right now. I don't find this MMOC the lethal beast that some do, but I also don't get the fantastic finishes that others get as well. I need to spend a few more days with it.

    Bill, I agree. Everyone has their unique style to shaving, regardless of the tool. In my case, I was very fortunate to pickup straight razor shaving with a shavette or traditional straight without serious injuries from the start.

    I don't find the Micromatic a beast either. I read some of the stories so I was extra cautious on the first use. It's a razor I look forward to using.

    thank you sir..while i have many favorite gillettes ,i have a real thing for techs.the workhorse,humble .non assuming handsome but not blingy..would like to own a mint version of every model and their history.. they call me tech ..:).mr tech..

    Thank you Andrew. I like the scent of the Oleo Shiloh the best followed by Asylum Colonia and Fine Italian Citrus in that order. I like the Asylum Colonia aftershave skin feel the best.
