    I purchased the Williams in a bundle of three from Amazon so I have two others, unopened. The puck pictured is the one in use, I just load my brush from the non embossed side.

    The brush up today in the knot trials is the Paladin Chief. It's sporting a 26mm 2CLSA5 select badger bulb knot. To be honest with you this knot is blown away by the newer offerings such as the Maggard SHD, and TnS Tip knot. It's not particularly soft and is a bit scrubby. It does have a tremendous amount of backbone, which I appreciate (though the SHD bulb has more backbone and softer tips), and flow through is quite good. It's just getting harder to justify the price tag when you can get really nice artisan handles and put really nice knots in them for 30-50% less then then the cheapest offering Paladin has. Sure there is the prestige in the name, but when you put the brush to your face all that matters is how it feels.

    The rest of the shave was an uneventful three pass IBBS shave. No irritation from the cart when you know how to not apply pressure. Fantastic sent from the Hipster set. I am smooth and smelling great. Have a great day my friends!

    Terrific pictures, Andrew! I appreciate the knot trials. I don't own any of the so called high end brushes but I do look at them regularly. I'm sure I'm destined to add one eventually. I keep looking at the Simpson's, Paladin's and Thater's.
