I really can't imagine having a bad shave using SV Felce Aromatica. The soap performs like a champ but the scent is just over the top. Three passes and touch ups ended in a near perfect shave. My lower right neck proved to be the spoiler. A splash of the matching aftershave left me smelling fantastic and ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Every time you and Jason post and praise SV Felce Aromatica you guys have me looking. No luck yet, in this country anyway.

PS - Wickham Soap Co. - Glycerin FS - Shamrock Tweed
    Cella Almond SC
    WSP Synthetic Badger
    Feather AC DX (kamisori style)
    Kai Captain Titan ProTouch
    Cella AS

Over the 3 day weekend while I was away working, Prime did it's thing....and delivered some 1.5mm leather cord. Spent a few minutes last night wrapping the Feather handle. Tried several different options (overlapping patterns, alternating colors, one color, other color, etc.), but ended up liking this layout the best. Wifey and girls did too, so finished up the ends. It'll be in lots of images going forward. ;)

Today's PS is courtesy Robert @Frijolero. I purchased a few of his den thinning items, and he threw in (Thank You!) a bar of the Wickham Soap Company's Glycerin Face Soap, a fragrance called Shamrock Tweed. My perfume describing abilities lacking.....but I liken it to Stirling's Baker Street. Thick lemony, fresh citrus. Very nice and glycerin slick.

Easy 2.5 pass BBS shave today. A little lower right neck irritation as I chased the BBS with the fresh Kai blade (this blade really feels smooth, me likey). I'm sure some of that smooth was from the excellent (imo) Cella SC. For a cream...it's a pretty solid recipe, not much moisture at all. This SC isn't milled, or as dry as many replacement pucks, but it is really hard compared to what other manufacturers in my den call 'cream'. Love the almond aroma! Cella SC is really slick, but it lacks a little in volume and staying power (dissipates a little) over the course of a shave pass. The slick stays...the lather just thins a bit, so I reapply on the areas that need attention as I'm shaving. Did thoroughly load the Wet Shaving Products Synthetic Badger (twice)....and added water/whipped it crazy til it was creamy and smooth in the bowl. The WSP brush does really nice, good backbone, soft tips, doesn't 'splay' much as you work the lather in the bowl or on your face. Zero scritch. I'm a boar brush guy though, so it sees little duty.

Finished the shave off with the Cella AS. Only a little feedback....of course on the lower right neck.

Hope veryone has a Terrific Thursday!

Yesterday, I honed this razor with a Norton 4/8k, Naniwa 12K

This morning, I spread a new layer of CrOx on my linen strop and made about a dozen laps.
Then, I stropped the razor 100 laps on my Savin.
Side note: Got this stropping "thang" down. No jinx.
    Results...we'll get there.

New soap today. This is another of Manuel's soaps, my 8th! (I have only finished one :scared003:)
    The soap is called Mediterráneo.
Shavers familiar with Manuel's soaps, know that there is an underlying theme to his scents.
Many of the soaps I own or have tried, with a couple of exceptions: Rosa Bourbon and Vetiver de Haiti, smell eerily similar.
    Now, when one does a smell test, side by side, very subtile differences can be noted;
but, if you randomly grab a tin and do a "sniffy-sniff", you might be hard-pressed to identify the soap.

Mediterráneo is the first soap which has an undertone of citrus.
The soap-base creates a luscious, shiny, wet (if hydrated properly) lather.
    IMG_0351.jpeg
The soap is extremely soft, not a cream, but very soft. Loading is quick and water is greedily absorbed.

The M&F Victorian lends itself to bowl-lathering. Its longish handle is easy to hold and ergonomically balanced.
The fan knot splays easily and feels wonderful on the skin.
    Now to the blade.
Better. Buttery? Maybe not, but better than yesterday's W&B.

Lot's of BBS areas on the face; the neck would not pass the cotton ball test, but the chin would. :happy036:
My den does not have many citrusy post-shaves products. Proraso green, imo, is.
My AoS lemon ASG/ASB are. I opted for Calvin Klein's ck one. Don't know why, I just did.
First, I alummed (sic), Thayer'd and glacially balmed the shaved area.
    Nice results.
