I don’t own a Cooper razor yet, but I have my eyes open for one when the time is right.

It appears it needs a little scruba dub dub with a toothbrush and Dawn dish detergent. Other than that it appears in rather good condition.

To those of you who have both the monobuilt and the three piece with the diamond stud center thread; which of the two do you find more efficient and especially more gentle on the skin?

I saw this. It looks like it is missing some of the edges on the cover and it is bent. Let us know how it shaves. Somewhere earlier in this thread plan of man explains how to straighten the head out

They are also iirc chrome plated so you can polish them easily also. As far as good working order make sure you can open and close cap all the way without a blade in it and without needing to press down on the cap. It shouldn't pop open either like it is spring loaded if it is in good condition. If you can tighten the cap down otherwise you can leave it like that if you want including if you do have to hold the cap tight on one side with your fingers when tightening it up. That happens when the handle has been unscrewed from the head and that metal tab underneath wasn't put back together correctly afterwards. The other thing to check before loading the blade is when the cap it closed does it look like it has a smile or frown.

I would also add depending how that hinge is bent it can cause problems loading a blade correctly. If the blade won't sit flush on the shoulders because the hinge is pressing on the tab you can try to bend the tab outwards a little bit until the blade clears or trim the tab on one side of the blade with regular paper scissors.

Thanks for the advice BBS. I think I’ll be trimming one of the tabs to get it to load the blade correctly. Also the cap looks like it has a frown when closed.
