That's what I did this time around. I shaved so the head of the razor made more contact with my skin and the blade angle became very steep. This reduced a lot of the irritation. Also, I used PAA pre-shave soap instead of pre-shave oil and it helped the glide substantially, which is needed with this razor it seems. *Edited to correct my quickly typed bad grammar.
There are folks around here using all manners of shaving devices. Some use carts out of necessity, some preference. I think the best was my first the Atra with the real small head. Wish they still made them like that without all the lube strips & stuff. Shave libertarian here. Be like Burger King and have it your way.
Pre: Warm water splash Brush: Omega 11047 Badger/Boar Soap: Eufros Rosa Bourbon Razor: Blackland Sabre L2 Blade: Gem PTFE Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Rose of Bulgaria ASL Once broken in this little brush has minimal scritch and builds lather like an adult brush. Happy Shaving one and all. @brit
Squat Head Curved Cap 1912. A little tuggy in a few spots but I suspect mostly due to the head shave just eating these Gem blades. Still a fine shave. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

There is no shame in posting your SOTD photos with your cartridge razors and other implements, here. All photos are welcome, if I am not mistaken.

Good picture of fine gear Kevin. I'm going with SE razors next month. The Sabre L2 is one of my favorites.
What's the Don Marco all about, Andrew? I have two from Razorock, and I like them.I'm nowhere near finished with either.
