Now this is a gorgeous page of blades! Hoping I can add to it... Revisor for this evening’s festivities. No jimps, but what seems like an ever so slightly thicker tang. Noticeably nicer to hold. Enjoy your shave. Tom
Thanks Gary! Gotta ask... when are you jumping in with a straight? You have some gorgeous vintage Gillettes but I think your cars would look pretty sweet with a straight in the pic.
This was going to be the last day of the tomo test, but I have one more that I want to test, so I’ll probably be doing one more Gold Dollar shave after today. Gold Dollar 66, soap was the discontinued Sir Irisch Moos stick, lathered with a M&F 3/1 Finest and a splash of AB finished up along with a spritz of Pen’s English Fern, which goes well with the soap scent. As for the tomos, #1 (left most) of the three wins by a small margin in terms of smoothness of the edge.
Wade & Butcher 5/8 MWF homemade brush Ogallala Bay Rum Nice one pass shave this morning. My first shave with this razor. The blade is just temporarily in these scales. I took this brush on vacation with me and it's a very nice performer. Have a good one.

Wade & Butcher Early stamp with the “R” of a Royal Cypher. Whether it is a V or W, I will never know, as it looks to have had a few surgeries over the past 150+ years. Coticule edge and it maneuvers like a slot car. Enjoy your shave. Tom
Final Gold Dollar 66 nagura test edge, soap was Fiori and Frutta, aka Dovo/Merkur shaving soap lathered with a Simpsons 58, and topped off with a splash of Myrsol Agua Balsamica. The soap is excellent. It’s very slick, and it’s not that easy to find, just a few folks seem to carry it in the US. It performs very much like Santa Maria Novella, though the eucalyptus scent that I’m using is not as nice a scent as SMN. But other than that, it very much rivals it. Post shave is particularly good. And did I mention that it’s slick? It’s a soft soap and goes for around $25 for 150ml.
