Thank you, Gary! The lady at the gym thought is smelled of old lady. I was a bit surprised, I never connected it to old lady smell, and she must have had a great sense of smell as she smelled it several feet away. I don't think I go that heavy on the AS.

    Good evening, gents!
    Completed another shave tonight.
This was Dovo shavette shave #74.
I put a new Voskhod 1/2 blade in my razor and brought out my Omega 49 boar. Lathered with the Satsuma to a nice lather. Two passes, touchups a few weepers, no irritation and a BBS shave. I tried to be as gentle as possible with new blades, but every so often a weeper or two find me. As the blade gets less sharp, my weeper frequency goes down. The good thing is that my weeps disappear on their own or I would use a styptic pencil to help it along which is what I did this evening.
I enjoyed the shave because I wasn't rushed and the orange scent of the soap added to the pleasant experience. Applied the matching aftershave and had a little sting, but it felt so nice.
Result: Grade 95 = A. If I did not get any bloodshed, then it would have been a 98, but a 95 is mighty fine by me. Guys you have a great evening and hope you have a great shave tomorrow. 20190530_213056.jpg 20190530_213056.jpg

Somewhere around here I know I still have a razor or two that I've never used. But this morning I went with the Dovo again. Seems so weird that now a straight razor is what I reach for when I want something familiar. Everything went perfectly this morning.

All the storms that have been passing just north of here are finally creeping down this way. Great sleeping weather.

    Screwtape A Shaving Butterfly

Thursday night May 30 - onwards with neglected creams

Canadian Gillette Pre-War triangle slot fathandled Tech / Personna Lab Blue (5)
    30DC LE maple cashmere brush
Renaissance Faire style horn quaich lather bowl
    ProRaso Red shaving cream
Alum and TSD Sandalwood Milk Aftershave

I used the last of my four classic ProRaso creams tonight, the Red. Great performance and a pleasant sandalwood scent. In order of preference, I would rank the ProRaso creams as Green and Red close together, White not far behind, and then Blue. Although any of them could quite easily give someone a lifetime of great shaves if he just wanted to stick with a single product. I haven't yet acquired the three new Single Blade versions so I don't know how they compare to the older ones.

Two passes with the Lab Blue in the Tech had me back from scruff to DFS without any fuss. The Lab Blue still seems to have lots of life in it, so I will let it continue to run. The TSD milk aftershave provided a nice finish to the shave. I am sorry @Queen of Blades is no longer making it, but I have enough stocked to last me a few more years anyway.
