  5. Thanks, Patrick!
The blue tint wasn't artificially added, just the way the light reflected that influenced the rest of the picture.

  6. You could try rolling the razor over on the spine.
I find it difficult and slower because I have to regrip, but you can't wack the edge on the stone. Almost stropping in reverse direction.

  9. For June, I'm resuming the extended focus on straights. Today's weapon of choice is the Russian Gravjura, fresh off of the pasted balsa strop. I busted open the big honkin' tube of Williams Ice Blue cream for the first, snd probably last, time. It's neither blue, nor icy. Performance is good enough. Scent is on the light side, and in this case I'd say that's a good thing. NEXT!

  10. Isn't it cool how light does that, and your camera sensor 'sees' more (or some cases less) spectrum than the human eye? Definitely different than film days where you can use that for an advantage. Always look forward to your images Jim!

  11. I don't think I have any Mennen. All purchased locally - Barbasol, Generic store brand from Dollar General or Family Dollar, M&L Florida Water, and some P&G new Old Spice decanted into an vintage Shulton OS bottle. I've got a number of vintage Avon, but that's not true to the Drug Store theme.

  18. Thanks, Patrick! The great thing about shaving with my Dovo shavette or a traditional straight razor is that I get a great shave and that I look forward to doing it. My only regret is that I wished that I would have gone to the Dark Side of the Moon when I was much younger.
