Thanks Douglas. I believe even for those that say they don't like Blues music, it would be hard for them to not like this album!

How can you not like the "Blues", it's the foundation of so much music. :)

I love the Blues and agree with you. I was referring to those folks that say they don't. :happy102:

From last night's post in the wrong SOTD month:
I'm going to use PAA's CUBE to enhance this soap I bought that was really designed as a bath soap, but surprised me in how it lathered and performed. The PAA CUBE will add that extra slickness that I think this soap could use to be next-level. I will also be using the PAA Chill Mill. I wish some forum would design a "Wet Shaving Product Awards" every year and have wet shaving enthusiasts vote on the products. PAA deserves two awards for the "Best New Product in the Shaving Game" genre. The CUBE and the Chill Mill are now 'essential' items in my den. I don't use them in every shaving circumstance, but they are fantastic tools to enhance or even upgrade a shave experience/result when certain other products aren't up to the task...or just because you enjoy the little 'extra' something they bring a shave. Either way. I've found these to be fantastic tools in my den and PAA's CK6 shave soap formula being added to the product list this past year and it's clear to me that PAA is seeking shaving dominance in the artisan wet shaving realm. Let's not even forget the addition of the DOC Stainless and Copper razors. Douglas Smythe is just coming up with win after win. IMO, PAA is the "Shaving Artisan Company of the Year" with West Coast Shaving coming up a decent 2nd place with their new line of soaps that Chris Cullen and Oleo Soapworks helped launch that really got major praise from wet shavers. I personally think that Van Yulay's new scent "Kadota Green" is the best scent I've smelled on a soap this year. Kadota Green blew me away when I was sniffing scents all over the Big Shave S'West.

***EDIT - It was a fantastic shave this morning. Check out this lather that was better than predicted. (This is directly after the 1st pass lather application after the PAA CUBE mingled with the lather from the bowl on my face. Turned into slick fluffy, dense clouds of lather):

Shaves don't get much better than this. Outstanding! 10/10 results. The Chill Mill gave a nice cool summer shave. Today's shave was epic!

    Saturday SOTD

So I recently received a British Gillette Rocket Parat from @Northstonehill and hadn't had a chance to try it yet... (Too much hardware at this point I'm afraid ). It is truly a beautiful razor and WOW did it not disappoint! I usually like a somewhat more aggressive razor considering my tough stubble but I could definitely see myself using this as a daily shaver if I get to a point that I definitely shave everyday. It is VERY comfortable but pretty efficient. And the TTO mechanism is a step above my regular superspeeds. Also this is shave #11 with this blade!! Excited for the day after this wonderful shave! Enjoy the weekend fellas.

    Heno de Pravia Glycerine Soap
    RazoRock Tuscan Oud Soap
VIG Shaving 24mm Pure Badger Brush
    Focus R28 Slim-Al with a Gillette/Wilkinson Blade
    Witch Hazel
    Palmer's Raw Shea Moisturiser
    Anfar Oudh Al Qamar EDP

My plans for a shave with a new (to me) razor went out the window. A particularly challenging shift resulted in me sleeping almost 4 hours longer than my norm so I decided to postpone.

2 passes and a touch up for just a tad off BBS....but still a face feeler! The Focus Slim-Al really is a great shaving tool!
