    IMG_2032.jpg Does it get any more basic than a Palmolive shave stick? One of the great deals in wetshaving, imho. Put a fresh blade in the humble post war Tech this morning, worked up an exquisite lather and had 3 nice passes. Completely smooth? Nope. Pretty darn close? Absolutely. Finished with the Polar Ice again. The cheap Canadian stank really sings with some glycerin and a bunch of M Bomb added. It is right where I like it now. A very nice start to the day.

    Tuesday morning June 4 - neglected gear

    Schick E2 / Personna (1)
    APShaveCo Flat Top SynBad synthetic brush
    La Toja shave cream
    Alum

    Very nice shave today with the sulphur spring mineral spa-like La Toja cream cushioning the Schick injector. Two passes and I am very near a BBS. No squawk from the alum. I didn't use any postshave products because I wanted to see what the residual skin feel of the shave cream was. So far, it feels pretty good.

    I think I will use this setup for the next week or so. The cream is claimed to be good for the skin - like a mineral spa treatment. Let's see how it stacks up...

    Great pic and shave, Jason. Did you add some glycerine to the Polar Ice? Because the sample I got from you seems to have some in it already. Or was that after you had treated it?

    That would be my fist suggestion - uploading to TSD servers. Not saying linking won't work but I've no wisdom to share about how to make that work. If you'd like to, there is a Post Testing playground where you can experiment. Keep in mind others will see what you do, and there will be comments. ;)
