It was a pretty wild shave. If that is what shaving with a straight is like, I can see how that could be addictive. I'll admit, without hesitation that my neck, around the swirls and my "wrinkle"running the width of my neck made me nervous. Rightfully so too. You can feel ever bit of that blade. If you ride the cap(not my normal practice) you don't get any real feel for the blade. It's an "All or Nothing" experience.
This razor doesn't get to make the Gillette's Finest thread, but it's staying in the bathroom. What a great way to shape your beard too! There wasn't any real remnant of Shaving Cream lather either, even with face lathering. I doubt I'm the first to try something like this, but I hope I am not the last either!

Hmm. I was talking about my big fellow. I’m not positive on the differences. I have only used the one.

The 106 was the NI from 1921-28. The Shoulder was modified/narrowed on the base plate, resulting in the 126. This was done in 1929, and all I can find is that they were only made in 1929.

Today I took the 126 out for a spin.

Not sure how different the 126 is from the 106. It had also been a while since I lathered up my Rudy Vey Jade & Horn 3-band. It’s my only “big” knot these days, weighing in at 25/51. Quite pleased with the entire shave. Really like the D&G Desert Oud EDP as a first time use. Need to see how it settles over the day AND if it warrants merit from Mrs. Rev579.
