    Never got more than 20 shaves from a Personna 74. I did get 30 shaves from a Wilkinson Chromium (Light Brigade).

    Eloquent post. I have never seen nor heard of the 4711 soap. Can you post an ingredient list, when you have an opportunity?

    My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 badger brush. I did two passes with the Kampfe/Star Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
    Soap: Bulgari Man in Black
    Razor: Gillette Black Handle Flare Tip Super Speed
    Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Green Super Stainless (2)
    Brush: Thater 2-Band Silvertip-26mmx55mm
    Aftershave: Bulgari Man in Black EdT

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    Bulgari Man in Black today. 20 seconds to load the Thater 2-Band Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Green SS in the Gillette Black Handle Flare Tip SS. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Bulgari Man in Black EdT.

    Arko gives a great looking/feeling lather but I can't seem to get the shave I want with it. Like it has to much cushion. Have tried different lathering i.e. more/less water, etc. Not sure what to do about it. Now go enjoy your day folks.

    A cheap brush which you should get rid of!
    But... remember recycling: here we are well organized for badger hair and resin!
