OK. Bach isn't the normal choice when I am in the sci-fi mood. Usually in this mood I would go for Holst, Wagner, or, in a more modern mood, Williams..

that's two things I still need to try, open comb and slant - well, and a couple more SE's, but I'm in possession of those at least.
Actually, in that big bowl o' razors I got awhile back, there's quite a few heads in need of a handle, some are open comb, if I can just figure out what I have and properly match them, I may very well be able to turn a few handles for them.

which leads me to another long-on-hold project I need to work on week after next....

You should freeze a bunch of them next October. They'll keep longer.

Very nice. What are some of your favorites to play?

 

I play a variety of music, from classic country to the 80's metal. The violin is the only instrument I have played publicly in many years. This was my last year playing with the string symphony. My fingers are becoming slower and I would like to just play for me and a few close friends now.

Yeah....I cant sleep worth a damn. Was hoping it was at least 3AM ET but nope.. got up at 1 GF's b-day today also so we got a boat load of people coming over which means Shawns got to clean the house and clean the yard up. I love parties when they arent at my house. Rodd.....that razor kicks ass even though I'd be scared to used it

good morning.....settling in at work...gonna be a busy day today, and that's not accounting for the calls we get...

another fine shave with the NEW. Maybe since the NEW has the fat bar handle it's easier for me to control the the Old with the ball end handle.


Rodd - congrats on winning that OC Slant! That thing looks really cool. Is it a Merkur? Are they the only ones to have made slants? I believe the Hoffritz is just a rebadged Merkur, right? Anyways, that razor looks great!

 

Try the bar handle on the old. Thats one of the nice things about most of the razors having the same thread you can mix and match. Just don't re-sell it on eBay as a rare fat handled old style. Honestly, I use the bar or fat tech handle on most of my razor heads now.

Hey, I would have loved to have had that car in high school. That would have been completely awesome to have in HS.

Sorry to hear it is so rough. However, I can see there isn't a wealth of information readily available on the GEM. Best of luck on your project, we are all hoping it works out.

I don't know that I have. But then again, I am very slow at picking up the names of the different composers that I have heard or artists, singers, etc... I may have heard Stockhausen before and just not recall the name. I will try pulling some up later. Thanks. {edit: it sounds familiar, but not entirely... downloading some to MP3 player from Rhapsody to listen to later}

Not much going on, just finished my morning shave, going to take the dog out and go to work. May be bad and just buy something someplace for breakfast. However, I already plan on going to Dynasty Buffet for lunch and Taste of India for supper.
