How do you like the SC Wisdom SS?. What stick's out more scentwise the lavender, or the Peppermint?. Soap Commander makes great soaps.

    Personna blade
    Maison Lambert Silver Tip brush
    Arko SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Barbasol Brisk A/S

Arko gives a great looking/feeling lather but I can't seem to get the shave I want with it. Like it has to much cushion. Have tried different lathering i.e. more/less water, etc. Not sure what to do about it. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Definitely the peppermint. I expected that since it’s such a strong fragrance by itself. The lavender is present, just more in the background. Overall a very great soap with regards to performance and scent.

    Thank you.
It's a Semogue 2000, nice and soft but is a bit floppy for my tastes.

Thank you, I've been meaning to try it since they brought it back in the smaller container.

Best shave yet with this soap but it's probably down to the Vector performing majestically.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

I whole heartedly concur, my friend...It is definitely worth every stroke, to get the best shave from a masterpiece of functional art, like that Hydrozilla you have there!!

The thing with that razor is....It's light, but still don't use pressure. You have to "ride the cap" like all the DE cats talk about. But on the I2, this is the key. Now the cap on this razor is only a little more than 1/4 of an inch. But on the I2, its a flat 1/4 of an inch, so it's very easy to feel.

Do not use like a hoe, but lift the handle and keep the head...that flat edge above the blade, flat on your face. Don't use pressure...you can 2 finger this one and 3 fingers on ATG...On ATG, (S-N), hold like a soup spoon. And listen to the sound of the blade cutting whiskers...."Follow the sound..."

This Hydro-magic is one of the greatest razors ever! Light, no pressure, and ride the cap. The angle that that sharp thick blade is held by that razor will leave BBS in it's wake.

Keep us informed on how your relationship goes with this one. I have and have had many razors, but I've never had a better shaver than that one. Congrats, and enjoy every minute!

Schick Hydro Magic I 2 with (S)chick blade, shave 3.

I tried to ride the cap all the way on this shave. I still nicked myself pretty good but not as much as the first 2 shaves. First 2 shaves were also closer but with that said this shave was still better than any DE I own except for a handful of them and about the same as my best shaving Gem SE razors. Practice, tinker, experiment and I'll get this razor figured out eventually.
