Real nice shave today with the Razorock Acqua "Shaving Cream" Soap, and Aqua Velva. I really felt that one pass was enough, as on the second pass it felt like I was "rubbing over" my face&neck, not shaving it. This is an ongoing investigation.
June 7th ‘51 Ball End Tech w PermaSharp (4) Palmolive Shave Stick JR 228 Thayers Pinaud Clubman One more day with this post war Tech. It has been a good week with it, and today’s shave was no exception. The Cashmere knot on this JR brush did a great job of whipping up a really nice lather. This soap punches way above its weight class, no question. 3 easy passes and I am quite smooth. I joked yesterday about pulling out the Clubman when travelling with colleagues and today seemed like a better day. By better I mean less people to offend. Some of you on here know this already- A few years ago, a friend on here sent me Clubman and Florida Water, two classics that aren’t readily available in stores here in Canada. The Florida Water quickly became a favourite, and additional bottles have seen their way into my den. The Clubman? I’m just not a fan I guess. Have a great day all!
O.K. guys, y'all can start poking a little fun at me for this razor that is on the way in. A Circlette Razor - The world's safest ladies razor. I just could not resist and for the price this should be a lot of fun. Pictures with the black background are pictures of the one I purchased. The others are stock images I found on the net. We may have to do a pass around for leg shaving. You cannot cut yourself with a CIRCLETTE.
June Focus Eufros Tobacco~~Simpson 59~~Ralf Aust 5/8~~Aramis Tobacco Reserve Tobacco Friday...is that such a thing? As much as I love Eufros soaps, the aluminum tins are so fragile, one slip into the sink and ding...dented. I hate to say it but give me the wide, hard plastic containers any day. Of all the brushes in my den, including some that cost 7x as much this 59 is fast becoming my mos def favorite. Seriously, the handle is incredible; the knot is amazing...Best Badger, BTW. Is Primo choosing his desert island shave brush Today's lather was so shiny I needed sunglasses to shave. If this Ralf Aust had slightly tighter pins, I would be enamored. As it is, I just really, really enjoy shaving with it. It still baffles me, that when I shave against the grain, sometimes XTG, I get the buttering toast feedback, but as I sit here and type , those areas are super-smooth. Alum: quiet. Thayer's: medicinal. Eufros ASB: delicious. Aramis Tobacco Reserve: Pièce de Résistance.
I don't prefer them in any way over DE or open, but if one must, single blade disposables are best option.
Hello guys! Checking in. We've been on vacation down in Destin the past few days but unfortunately have to drive home today. Always tough to leave paradise! I've been shaving the past few days with the Nivea body shaving stick and a J1 injector. No pictures though. Good shaves all around. I'll continue to work on the 13A▲ from Soap Commander when I get back home. I'm concentrating on that tub with the hopes of finishing it off soon. Wonderful soap. We took possession of our new house last Friday. Ripped out basement carpet the next day and have a contractor working on basement ceilings and lighting and then the floors. Putting down hardwood in the master bedroom next weekend as well as painting the whole interior of the house. We won't actually move our stuff in until the week of June 24. Going to get the interior stuff done first. We have a comfortable place to stay so we're not in a big hurry. Wilson is taking swimming lessons next week. We'll come back to the Gulf Coast on Monday the 17th for a few nights. I have a work conference that has a loose meeting schedule. I have missed the fun and camaraderie of the 30DC. I'll be back once things are more settled.
Perry, great to have you sticking your head back in the door. Glad things are coming together and it is not the same around here without you. Take care.
Thanx for the update, Perry. Correct me if I'm wrong but this "new house" of yours wasn't the original "new house" you wanted, right?
