hello i am looking for the best alternative to Gillette Fusion Proglide
My goal: shaving close like Gillette (or even a little less close) and also the razor will be smooth on the skin as gillette, and of course the most important thing - lower cost in general, and also Low cost long term.
I have to say: I have thick+dense bristles and sensitive skin.

These are the alternatives I have been thinking about:
    Dorco Pace 6 Plus
    Dorco Pace 4
    Schick Hydro 5 Sense Sensitive
    Schick Hydro 3
    Schick Quattro Titanium
    Personna Caliber 5

Other suggestions are welcome, except: the dollar shave club or something else (I live in Europe), and also any razor from Gillette company.

Many Thanks for your help , and have a fantastic day :):)

Dorcos are a good choice with cost in mind.

I would recommend the Caliber-5 Core Motion because it is like the Fusion Flexball. A Schick Quattro Titanium Cartridge will fit the Caliber-5 Core Motion handle. I prefer the Quattro Titanium Carts over the Caliber-5 Carts. My face likes 4 blades better than 5. They seem to last longer too.

Have you considered razors that are not cartridge based?

    K. Thx.

I've never used a 5 blade shaving device. The cost always ran me off, so I can understand shopping around.

Id probably go Dorco Pace 4, Schick Hydro 3, Schick Quattro or a 2 or 3-blade Bic. I personally use the Bic Sensitive when I travel.
I personally cant stand 5-blade razors because I find them to be too tuggy and I tend to get razor burn from them.

Take a look at the Feather MR3 Neo or Feather F3 aka Samrai Edge.

You can get the handles and blades on Amazon, ebay or wet shaving vendors. The blades for either handle should be interchangeable between the 2. If I ever got back into using carts these would be the ones I would try first.

Ive heard that the Feather carts arent anywhere near as sharp as Feather's DE blades are.

If I ever went back to cartridge razors, I definitely would choose a Schick product. Preferably the Schick Tracer

They aren't produced anymore. The nearest thing is the Xtreme3.

Tracer carts are still available. They aren't cheap but still available.

They would be NOS, and they sell for ridiculous prices. All discontinued carts are available, their scarcity reflects their price.

My favorite cart, back in the day, was the Bic Hybrid, three blade system. They have different versions with more blades, but for me, this was the best one. You get a new handle with every pack and it gave me the best shaves from any cart. If I had to travel and worry about one of my razors getting lost, stolen or forgotten, this would be my choice, and inexpensive......

Has anyone tried the Personna Magnum M5? How does it compare to any of the ones mentioned above?

It's okay, it was discontinued and brought back. The GT5 is much better.

Thanks, from photos it seems that the GT5 is the same as the Caliber (which is available).

They are not identical. The GT5 is based on the Quattro. The Caliber 5 is not.
