  2. Great shave report, Blair! I keep my setting at 9 when using my '68 Slim and get a great shave as well.

  3. I have been looking at getting a kamisori when I get the regular straight down! I am tempted by one of the CJB pain sticks to see if I like the feel, but the feather blades won't give a true representation... Why not have a traditional grind? Apparently it's pretty easy to use!

  4. Well great morning to all!
The shaving gods smiled on me today!
This morning was good as a 2 pass shave can be. 2 passes on the mug, 2 passes on the gord, 2 Feather blades and a Cooper Monobit for razor love. Decided to whip up some lather in a mug just for fun, seeing I had some time before I started the day. Did 2 splases of AS with menthol just for good measure and to keep with the 2's.
I sincerely hope everyone has a great day, mine started out on a perfect note. Just time to read the posts but hard to reply, time is limited so only been replying to direct posts.
Everyone again, have a wonderful day!!

  5. Mostly pleased with my shave this morning. Without two weepers(both minor), the "Mostly" would have been "Very". What can I say...Stoylin is Stoylin :). I do feel now that for MY face the Ramblin Man may not make it to the humidity months. I'll give it a try on a humid day, but it's a bit too warm. But the shave itself? Kinda excellent :).
  6. The few times I had blade razors, the proper setting for me was one of the challenges. The proper ANGLE was the other.
  7. Thanks, Joe.

  9. Further to this... Are there any kamisoris that don't need one to remortgage their house to purchase?

    Brush: Grizzly Bay MaxFury
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: PdP No. 63
    PAA Galactic witch hazel

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. It's been much too long since I've used the Vector. Terrific razor! I have an example of each of Blackland's razors and they are all a joy to use.

    Have a great weekend!
