    Figaro Sapone Speciale~~Simpson KH4~~2011 Mühle R41~~Personna 74 (1)~~Aqua Velva
Later than usual shave today. I wanted to get the garden prepared for planting.
    We are really far behind.
Felt like an R41 shave today. Popped in a new Personna 74 and with the newly-acquired Keyhole
    face lathered some Figaro sapone.
    All-in-all, three really good passes.
The R41 decided to give me a couple of reminders that it's not to be taken for granted.
    Duly noted.
Alum was pretty loud today. MUCH louder than after a straight shave.

I did a little research on the Aqua Velva. Beecham bought the company in 1982, so this bottle,
while 37 years old, really isn't a true vintage. Soooooooo.....
Picked up a new, 6oz bottle of the original J. B.Williams juice for $19.00. Screen Shot 2019-06-08 at 12.50.26.png
I am curious to see (smell) if there is a difference, and looking forward to
pairing it with my vintage Williams shave soap. :)

  14. I forgot to announce: My local supermarket has indeed ceased to stock Palmolive shave sticks. Game Over.

    Great shave!

  16. Thank you, Clint. I appreciate the kind words.

I unpacked all my shave gear today into the guest bathroom linen closet. Everything's in one place except the gear that I'm currently using (on my vanity top) and a handful of vintage razors that need to be sanitized. Everything fits well, and it's good to get it all organized. I'll live with it for a few days and post some photos once I'm happy with the arrangement.

The Clubman was unpacked and set out for immediate use. Gonna try to use this stuff up.

  17. Thanks Joe. We like it. It's a little busier here since we now live inside the metro city limits, but we have the flexibility to avoid driving during morning and afternoon rush hours. Thankfully, the traffic here is not bad at all compared to NYC or Atlanta. Everytime we fly home from a big city where we've had to drive in real traffic, the first thing I want to do once I get off the plane is kiss the ground here in my Old Kentucky Home.

We lined a handful of shelves today and stocked our pantry and my shave cabinet. More boxes to collapse and dispose once break time is over. :) I hope you're having a great weekend.
  18. Yes, I am having a great day! I have heard Atlanta can be a bear, but I am used to NY traffic that I can deal with it. Now, I have never been to LA, but I hear the traffic is like uber NY.

  19. I still can't believe you moved the Clubman to the new house. I would have left it as a house warming gift for the new owners. :happy102:
