So for the last couple of shaves, I've been doing a one-pass CCS with a New SC and vintage Spoiler blade. It's the same one I was using in the Tech and was close to binning. Moving it over to the slightly more aggressive New SC seems to make for a very nice combo.

True, Joe, but after 30 straight days with the R41, I had it tamed. Might be time for a short "re-focussing".

Blackship Grooming 'Queen Anne's Revenge' soap and AS

I got this soap because I saw pineapple in the scent description, and you all know how much I love pineapple. I did some research online and couldn't determine if it was an Aventus dupe or not so I went ahead and ordered it. Yep sure enough, smells like Aventus. This version has a little more woodsyness in the base when it dries down and is quite nice. The soap is s vegan base and as such won't get to that thick goopy consistency that tallow bases do. The lather ended up being light and creamy but was fantastically slick. The blade that was in this razor was well past it's prime and though the shave was smooth the results weren't quite up to par. I did four full passes and still only ended up with a CCS. No sting from the AS and the scent is still going strong! Have a great day my friends!

That's it, but single edge razors have an advantage of thicker blades. Makes me wonder if I ever get a straight sharp, if it will last longer than all the rest of the replaceable blades.
