Now now, I like the Astra Superiors. Haven't tried the other Astras and probably won't. Guess I'll have to wait for the next blue moon. (or the trash truck)

Lentil soup, pimento cheese sandwich and chicken wings for dinner. Yummy I swore off drinking for remainder of the week also. I havent had a 2 day hangover in years. I can still feel the effects of Sat night.

 

We have Port of Entries, just not foreign POE's.

 

Ok. Good new/bad news time for those who got in on the 7'o black order. Bad news: the packs no longer have the 6th bonus blade :angry019. I'm told even w/ the missing blade we still got a deal on pricing. Good news: they are here and will be shipped as time permits.

 

I still have a couple of the black blades left. I like them and will tack them onto my order when I ever make another order. I have quite a bit of yellow packs to go through now though. The first shave with the yellows isnt great but after that they are wonderful for me.

 

Here comes Clyde..later guys.

 

Oh... I see... Well... at least they will be here soon. I am on my last one and will be happy to see them come in, even if that is the case.

Hey! I know that one!

I'm big believer in YMMV, but I just can't imagine anyone ever getting a good shave with a Merkur. I think those rumors about Merkur blade lovers are evidence of humanity's eternal optimism.

Thing about the Merkurs is in one of Mantics vids he mentions how Merkurs are the blade by which others are measured. Kind of a baseline blade. In all his vids this is the only real "mistake" I found (well that and the upside down lathering thing--that was kind of goofy ). I'm not sure where he came up w/ this idea that Merkur blades are all that. Anyway all new wetshavers who view those vids come into it thinking Merkurs are the gold standard. Then they try them, find out they suck, hear everyone else thinks they suck and can't figure out what's going on.

I'm not knocking Mantic here btw. He has done a phenomenal job on those vids. I just find that one little segment of his to be a gaff.
