What would you say is the flagship or most signature scent for various artisan soap/aftershave companies? Looking for more-or-less unique, definitive scents, no dupes. An example would be something like Captain's Choice Cat O' Nine-Tails, or Mickey Lee Drunken Goat.
Oddities? Barrister & Mann, who I haven't delved into, seems to make some love it or hate scents. Some are dupes while others just sound ... why? Another to look into - Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements. Guess I'm an ole stick in the mud type. I like lime (RazoRock WTP Lime Burst), patchouli (Stirling Glastonbury), Old fashioned Barber Shop (Route 66 Barbershop Hop), and I'm looking for a Shulton Old Spice dupe. If you haven't tried Tabac it's unique, gives great lather, and comes in a full line of men's products.
I was under the impression PAA made a lot of cologne dupes, but haven't explored them extensively Tabac is one of my favourites, but it's sort of outside the scope of this thread since it's basically their entire lineup
several Chiseled Face offerings seem to fit the bill... I'm interested in Trade Winds and Summer Storm especially
Stroppe Shop Baker Street (now defunct & carried on by Stirling) Gentleman and Ozark Mountain I believe are the top selling original scents from Stirling
I haven't tried Trade Winds yet, but I picked up a bottle of Summer Storm and I'm very pleased with it
