    Good evening guys!
Don't worry, it's too soon to shave my neck and face! Lol! However, I did shave my head tonight with my Rocky T. Man, this razor gave me another best headshave ever! I used Williams soap and still this razor performed magnificently! A professional barber couldn't get this BBS shave all the way around my head! No stubble to be felt anywhere. However, I did get a weeper above my ear, but stuff happens! Lol! What really fascinates me about the T is that I don't need to put it at the highest setting like I normally would do. The highest setting is 6 and I am shaving at 5. I know it's only the 3rd shave with this razor, (1 face and 2 headshaves) but to you headshavers this razor is the bomb!

Being from Canada eh I was a hockey freak from day 1 . Lost my front teeth playing the game when I was younger. 2 of my daughters play and my youngest is a goalie . Thats nerve wracking for me . Good to see the Raptors going this far . People laughed when they first got the team in Toronto. Bet they arent now . I have 1st cousins somewhere down in Colorado. My uncle used to live in Idaho and his kids branched off all over the states.

I usually do 30 - 40 on leather and rarely use my polyweb, but when I do it's 15 to twenty. I have the Straight Razor Design strop.

The strop I have was crafted by Adam. Rather than linen or similar , he used seat/tactical belt material. It's softer than leather and polishes the bevel after the relatively more stout leather helps to straighten any plastic deformation at the bevel edge. It is simply anther material that can be used. I also have a four-paneled hybrid paddle strop that features two grades of leather and two balsa sides. Pastes are applied to the wood for things that leather alone won't fix.

FWIW, I claim no expertise in SR maintenance and restoration, and don't advise newbies on anything beyond stropping a serviceable blade and shaving. However, we're blessed with a great, and very helpful, group of SR aficionados!

I just looked it up on the mr-rasor.com website. Looks like it is probably a 1946-47 Aristocrat.

Edit: I see RyX beat me to it...

If you use very light pressure on a finishing stone (i.e. 12K or higher), the chances of screwing up the blade is slim to none as you are really just polishing or smoothing out the bevel set by the professional honer. Also, shaving with the professionally sharpened blade will dull it, so you’ll ultimately either need to do your own refreshing on them or send them out to be re-honed anyway, so risk is low.

Got it. By poly web, I thought you meant one of those corse nylon strops that are definitely not as smooth as leather. I’ve never really understood their functionality, but would love for someone who knows to educate me.

I recognized it right away. There are variation in the knurling, and the tabs that hold the blade are different from more modern Gillettes.
Welcome! It's a smooth shaver, too. Picked mine up in a trade with Tom @twhite about the time he was getting into SR. True to the pattern the gold wash has faded on my doors, but the underlying nickel is doing good. Be careful with abrasive polishes!
I've found some, if not all blades bind (where the arrow is pointing). Could be my particular unit, or other than standard to modern DE blade cutouts.

My polyweb is 2 sided. One side is Croxed so that I can refresh my edges and the other side is used to clean off any minute particles like soap, dirt, that I may miss when I clean the blade. Polyweb is not an essential part of stropping, but it is nice to have.

Thanks I tried a Voskhod in it several times and no problems. The razor cleaned up great. A little oil and she it ready to go. She is not a beauty queen but mechanically she is solid. Thanks for all of the help.
