    AoS Unscented (Tallow)~~Simpson 59~~Friodur~~Aqua Velva
    Continuing the process of using the FeOx on the balsa strop, followed by 40 laps on a leather strop,
    the Friodur 472 delivered.
    But first...The Art of Shaving Unscented Tallow soap, bombed with 3 drops of the aptly named M-Bomb,
    is...wait for it...Mos Def one of the best soaps I have in my den. The unscented is still available,
    but the aftermarket prices are through the roof. So, I am going to have to savor this one and my one back-up.
    Everyone talks about slickness, ad nauseam. So one more mention shouldn't be too painful.
    This soap is slick. This soap is shiny. This soap protects. This soap is...Xanadu.
    Ok, maybe it's not Xanadu, but it's a great soap.
    Brush today was chosen for @TommyCarioca who wanted to see the 59 in action.
    Have you ever seen a more perfect knot? The symmetry is amazing.

    I got this on ebay for $55...including the original Grey Box. :happy036:
    Probably my best brush score on ebay ever.
    The handle is nice 'n beefy. Fits perfectly in my mitt.
    The Best Badger of this era is...without scratch, scritch, prickliness of any kind.
    The Twins worked together symbiotically for a plink, plunk, plink, darn-near buttery shave.
    Today was the closest I have gotten to a total BBS shave since joining the Dark Side. :signs136:
    Post-shave repeats from the last couple of shaves:
    Alum, Thayer's and Aqua Velva.    ​

    Thank you Jim. Mine came in a tin as well. I had this plastic container that worked perfectly so I switched the soap and label over.

    In MLB, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees rivalry is quite intense. Back in the early to mid 80's, St Louis Cardinals and the New York Mets rivalry was quite fierce! I hated the Cardinals!

    Witch Hazel does soothe and heals the irritation. I also use petroleum jelly to quickly heal cuts and irritation.

    Nivea Post Balm
    Drakkor Noir Eua De Toilette

    The Aristocrat was not on the focus list so I bumped my 1965 Travel Tech and added the Aristocrat to the list. I forgot the pain stick so this was a Aristocrat only shave.

    I was very surprise by what a great shaver the Aristocrat is, very smooth and efficient. Overall it was just a great shave. The Snake Bite was just like whipped cream this morning and I had enough in the bowl for a few more passes but I stopped at two with a few touch ups.

    Alum was quiet, rubbed a little Nivea post balm on and then a splash of Drakkor Noir. Oh yeah....the 80s are back!

    I am out the door for a few errands with my wife. Finally got the power of attorney handled with dad's bank. Maybe things will settle down a little.
